RWC 2023 . . .

South Africa are among 4 bidders for the 2023 Rugby World Cup.

The successful bidder wil be named in November 2017 so between now and then it might be a good idea for our government to shut their traps and stop interfering in our rugby and we might actually stand a chance.

I highly doubt that South Africa are contenders. 
Just recently the Sports Minister of SA has threatened to Boycott sporting tournaments until the transformation goals have been achieved. 
By then the Springbok team may also be a total joke, and if so- perhaps the UN would have banned SA teams before then.

Wishful thinking Rooi! That is the exact reason our government WILL open their traps. They don't give a rats arse if we get the Rugby World Cup or not. In fact, they probably don't want us to get it, so they'll continue with their populist anti-white man agenda. Although, if they did win the bid, there would be wonderful opportunities to steal money with lucrative contracts....you know what, maybe they will bid after all!

Sharkbok, if you click the link and read the article you'll read Jurie Roux addressing the issue of the government' s ban on us hosting international tournaments. He basically says that the suspension will be lifted quite soon.

 Well it's a good thing that the host nation doesn't have to qualify for the tournament ... because if things go to plan we should see a side riddled with quotas come 2023.
It's a 50% requirement by 2019 ... what would the target be for the 2023 WC?

the suspension could be lifted. (After the elections). Then before the next election, the ANC could use the ban in 2020 to get more votes. 
This would kill ticket sales. Even the possibility would lose ticket sales. 
Throw in the UN- who may through SA out before then
