The draw is as follows:-

Pool A: New Zealand, Australia, Chile, Hong Kong China

Pool B: South Africa, Italy, Georgia, Romania

Pool C: Argentina, Fiji, Spain, Canada

Pool D: Ireland, Scotland, Uruguay, Portugal

Pool E: France, Japan, USA, Samoa

Pool F: England, Wales, Tonga, Zimbabwe

This is a change from previous RWC's when their were only four poola and the quarterfinals entail the top team in the pool will play the runner-up in the opposing pool and the runner-up played the top team in the opposing team It looks like the 6 top teams will go through plus 2 other teams

The pool stages look terrible. Barely one proper contest in there outside of Scot/Ire and maybe Aus/NZ. No idea what the geniuses who dream up these inflated minnow contests are smoking.

There will be a "round of 16", which appears to be a mini playoff before the actual playoffs. Top two from each pool plus the four best third placers go through to the round of 16 playoff, and those winners go to the quarters. It's a bit clumsy but I guess it gives Ireland a chance to get knocked out even before the quarters and for a side that fluffed their pool a bit to have another shot.

Naughty!!!

.

I actually think that Ireland will do well because of the strength of their pool. Will prepare them better.

How can a decent seeding system allow the number 1 and 2 sides in the World to meet in the Quarters?

Clearly rigged to help a NH team make the finals.

Meanwhile Mann is not being punished and that guy Ryan who almost took off Marx's head got his sentence halved.

So let's see what the odious Mamparas at the Disciplinary Committee hearing do to Eben.

To me it's 12 weeks max.

Yep, All Blacks and Boks almost a dead cert in the quarters is just ridiculous.

I smell a rat.

So:

• South Africa

• New Zealand

• Ireland

• Scotland

• Argentina

• Fiji

• Australia

are ALL on the same side of the knockout bracket.

Meanwhile, the other side has:

• France

• England

• Wales

• Japan

• Samoa

• USA

They deliberately engineered it so that a Northern hemisphere team make a Final.

So no New Zealand or Argentina in the other Side.

SA route looks fine but most likely to face NZ in the semi finals and then either or France or England in the Final.

We're going to win it.

I know it's early days but not only are we the current best team on the planet with 18 months to go, we're also the side that gets up the most for RWCs.

All we need is for Sacha, Malcolm, PSdT, Ox and DW to stay fit and for Cameron Hanekom to get over his injury and to prove himself a starter. He has 18 months. I'm betting he'll do it. Hope Evan Roos also plays his way into the starting XV . . . but you can fill in the rest of the team any way you like and we'll win it.

Bokke!!!

PS Any self-respecting RWC has a Springboks vs All Blacks final but for the hat trick of wins, I don't care who we paste in the final . . . and I don't care if it's a 1 point win against 12 men.

Bokke!!!

That sorry lot betrayed their own process to steal a RWC hosting from South Africa to gift it to France...old boys club and we're not on it...we better just continue raining on their parade and keep on winning to keep Bill in the Southern Hemisphere.

It would be terrible for WR if the Boks were to win a 3rd one on the trot.

It wouldn't surprise me to see some really shit reffing.

I don't think we'd be able to win it playing like we did in the last one. Those one point win games are too easily skewed by a ref with a mandate.

We need to play like we did in Wellington and score so many points that we take the result entirely out of WR and the ref's hands.

There’s a few unknowns leading into the WC, one can never be too sure. There is also an anti Bok and an anti South Africa sentiment that pops its head and you don’t want that in a game where the loser exits the stage.

Some here might remember the Wellington quarter final? I was at that game….it was a nightmare.

It’s said that history repeats itself.

Yes undoubtably the Boks are the best side in the world and will be even better come the WC….but….”Beware the ides of March, Caeser.”

Well, well, well, the board actually getting it right one and all.

This is a very notable day.

But I might have spoken too soon. Wonder where Mozzie stands on this issue?

I think it’s clearly a globalist conspiracy HasBeen, an attempt to have France win and justify the influx of immigrants who make up their team.

Moz what I found incredible is that I thought so many of the French players were foreigners but in fact the majority of them were born in France

Clearly their parents weren’t

Same playoffs run as 2023, just a different order :) Still some way to go to 2027, let's see how the various sides look by then.

Two years is a long time in rugby, we may not have half the players left and some teams like France and New Zealand could have worked out their issues by then.

Oh well, Maybe Rassie can win all his games this time to the trophy.

Good news is that SA rugby has extended his contract until 2031.

Long live king Rassie
