Seems there is a good mix in th squad announced for both games, two experienced captains. These should be two hard games. these guys will want to go out and prove a point against international opposition, it's an opportunity most of them will never see again. I reckon a few England players are going to walk off with very sore bodies.

From SA Rugby.com

Three players with Springbok Sevens experience have been named in the SA Barbarians teams to take on England in two mid-week matches during next month’s five-match tour, the South African Rugby Union (SARU) announced on Monday. Current Bok Sevens star, Cornal Hendricks, as well as veterans Danwel Demas and Mpho Mbiyozo, have been named by the SA Barbarians selectors in strong combinations to meet the tourists, chosen from the Absa Currie Cup First Division teams. EP Kings centre Wayne Stevens will captain a SA Barbarians (South) combination to meet England in Kimberley on June 13 (kick off 15h00). JW Jonker of the Pumas will captain the northern SA Barbarians selection against England in

Potchefstroom on June 19 (kick off 19h10). All 44 players will assemble with head coach Jimmy Stonehouse - and assistant coaches Eddie Myners and Oersond Gorgonzola - in Durban on Wednesday for a preliminary three-day training camp

What a huge disappointment. The sides should have been selected from the best players outside the Bok squad!!!!.

I don't know beeno. I remember the Barbarian type team selected from the first division northern sides against the British Lions. they put up a rather good show. I like this. Most of these guys will never really see a bok jersey but they now get the chance to prove themselves against international competition. These 2 games are going to be really hard in Kimberley and Potch. The english players are going to come of this with some real scrapes and bruises. I don't expect any of these 2 teams to beat the poms but i do expect 2 nice bruising games. I like this. Good decent full blooded tour and an opportunity to give the dark horses a shot at it.

You a have a point but there are a number of players just outside the Bok squad who I would like to see against an international team.

Maybe a gem will be uncovered from these guys selected though. Perhaps the split should have been on barbarians team of unknowns and the other of fringe players. Outsiders will think we have no depth if these outsiders get walloped!

I would loved to have seen how the English go against full strength Super 15 sides like Bulle, Stormers, Sharks and Cheetahs. I reckon our sides would give them a huge go.

Yeah would maybe have wanted another fixture prior to the first test against an Emerging bok side. would have added something to the tour maybe. Or maybe a game against the Currie cup champs or something. That is another dimension though, and gives you opportnity to see good players against these guys.

This is a totally different ballgame with reletive unknown players with no reputaion and nothing to lose, the English will bleed on a hard Kimberley field. no idea how the potch field looks like this time of the year, but it should be about the same thing there as well.

You were doing well until you mentione dcurrie Cup champs!. make that S Conferecne Chams.

Pity this tour is such a rushed affair with no preparation and dencet itinerary.

Trus tyou saw some of the cricket. Windis were thrashed. They seem to lose concentration. Too much dope?

England look solid enough and Bresnan is a decent allrounder.

@ Beeno : Hehe, but you get the point an added one for the up and coming guys would also have been nice. As i Don't want to take away the opportunity given to these guys.

haven't really been following the cricket so well just saw some p0ieces here and there. I am Glad Gayle has sorted out his issues with the WI board. Any windies team without him is no windies team at all.
