I have given Houwing's  ratings as the second figure against the player names.   Where I did not give a second figure  it means  that -

*   Houwing's and my ratings are the same; or

*   in the case of the replacement props Houwing did not give a rating

Think your ratings are a tad low Mike, there isn't a harder game than NZ away, that needs to be taken into account.
Surprisingly I think Houwing has got it spot on.
Hope you enjoyed the game, and celebrated Mike!

APD

I agree with you here about how hard it is to play NZ in Wellington.   That was why I gave   6 of the players higher ratings than Houwing did - while he gave only 2 players higher ratings than those I gave.

Have a look again - I do think he was a bit liberal in the c ase of players he rated higher than I did.

Sure I did celebrate,

Funny enough how Mozart and AO vanish from sight = wonder why?

I was impressed with Kolbe.
His defence was better than Jessica Kriel, and he should certainly start at wing. He put a lot of pressure on Ioane, and closed him down by tackling him high and wrapping his arms.
Having Dyanti and Kolbe on the wing gives South Africa potency out wide. Both great opportunists that were able to convert opportunities into points.

Sure Kolbe did more than expected.   By the way I think that wing Delguy of Argentina and Kolbe is something in the Paulsen mode.  Nimble, quick and clever in execution of their job.

My bad Mike, accept my apologies, I was viewing on mobile and it rendered badly so I assumed the ratings were opposite.

I amend my first statement, your ratings were pretty spot on.

You have not seen anything yet - our self-proclaimed world experts on site (Mozart and AO) have not completed their analysis.   You can bet on your life they will reduce -

*   Du Toit to 6/10;

*   Malherbe to 5/10;  and

*   De Allende to 4/10.
