SA players are in high demand because of theirs qualities
This is another fallacy commonly spread by SA rugby.
SA rugby players are high demand due to two factors:
A structurally deficient demand from the North: the North can host and support more clubs than they can train players to play for the said clubs.
As very few nations play rugby over the world and that north countries do not trade players among themselves, this compells them to look elsewhere.
A structurally deficient offer in SA: SA rugby are collapsing, they are a walking corpse. They offer less and less opportunities for SA players to be hired. This combines with SA youth being sold they must not work hard and seek rugby as their main life opportunity and this gives an excess of players with too few local clubs able to hire them.
As to their high pay, this comes from the will of the world of rugby to clear their name from the association with the apartheid regime.
They hope it will push the local youth to enroll in rugby as they might get rich from it.
Can't fau;t this. Factual shit.
