The competition in some positions were extraordinary strong - in others weak. The problem was the weather conditions in Cape Town was nioot what makes for good rugb as well.

I had problems with the following:-
* The performances of the no 12's were excellent - De Allende was exceptional in both attack and defense, Jordaan had some good moments in attack while exceptional in defense (he neutralized Nonu comprehensively) and Serfontein looked very good in attacking play. My initial reaction is 1 0 De Allende, 2 Jordaan and 3 Serfontein
* Steyn had goood moments - but being carded and the number of possession losses and penalties basically disqualifies him
* Burger was injured again - and I have my doubts about his continued career
* Jannie du Plessis was a disaster = his serious level of indiscipline is alarming.
* Michael Rhodes was also carded - but the carding had no impxct at all on the match outcome - the Cheetahs did not get extra points as a result,
