There are in fact two SA players who stand out because of their performances in Super Rugby and Sevens and those two are -
* Willemse at fyhalf - who at the age of 19 already played him into potential Springbok contention and is destined to be a great of the future; and
* Muller du Plessis at the same age is making hay in the case of the Blitsbokke and has amazing pace. He will also be a Springbok in years to come.
Willemse was already a top performer last year in the Under 20WC when he played at 12 nex t to Bosch, who was not performing well enough as flyhalf in that position in the series in 2017. Bosch has been moved to full back by the Sharks - which move confirmed that he is physically too small to be an effective flyhalf.
The Under 20 players are being prepared much better this year, They are playing the England, Wales and Scotland teams before the 2018 series start at the end of May.
