1 Etzebeth

2 Goosen

3 Kitshoff

4 Jordaan

5 Coetzee.

To me these are the 5 young players most likely to be a factor for the Boks down the road.....ranked.  Etzebeth and Goosen are mega talents. Kitshoff has been very impressive for so young a prop. Jordaan has the crucial element of pace and a fine step, he also reads the game very well for a junior. Week in, week out Marcel Coetzee is as good as any of them, I'm just not sure if he is as physically superior as the others.

I assume you have left out Hougard because he is already a bok, but he has to make the youngsters top 5, if him being a bok isn't your reason. And yes he had a below par game today, but all players, even the greats, do. Outside that, Goosen is my young find of the season..I just feel sorry for the Cheetahs cos we all know one of the big unions (Bulls, Sharks, Stormers) will poach him...anyway, an exciting talent none the less.

No real age limit....young (say under 23) and uncapped.

In that case, I can't argue with your list...except I'd have Goosen 1st.

I could live with Goosen at the top....the try he scored was the best bit of running from a Bok 10 I have seen in half a century. His boot is a cannon. The thing is forward careers just seem more predictable and Etzebeth has everything....temperament, muscle, reactions, gravitas. I have rarely seen a player so instantly ready.

Then Taute is an obvious choice as are CJ Stander, Kolisi, Jantjies and Elstadt........outsiders being JJ Engelbrecht, Arno Botha and Malherebe

If we are sticking to 5 then one change is needed:

1 Etzebeth

2 Goosen

3 Kitshoff

4 Taute

5 Coetzee.

Saffex.

If I have a straight choice between Taute and Jordaan for position 4 - my selection would be Jordaan scoring 3 points higher out of 10 tham Taute   For the rest I think all are in agreement with the list.

Good list, but I can't count. ;) So I'm putting Kolisi in there. Love that kid.
