The following squad has been named for the Tour Matches against New Zealand and Argentina:-

Forwards (21): Schalk Brits (Bulls), Marcell Coetzee (Ulster), Lood de Jager (Bulls), Thomas du Toit (Sharks), Pieter-Steph du Toit (Stormers), Rynhardt Elstadt (Toulouse), Eben Etzebeth (Stormers), Lizo Gqoboka (Bulls), Steven Kitshoff (Stormers), Vincent Koch (Saracens), Francois Louw (Bath), Frans Malherbe (Stormers), Malcolm Marx (Lions), Bongi Mbonambi (Stormers), Tendai Mtawarira (Sharks), Franco Mostert (Gloucester), Trevor Nyakane (Bulls), Marvin Orie (Lions), Kwagga Smith (Lions), RG Snyman (Bulls), Duane Vermeulen (Bulls)

Backs (15): Lukhanyo Am (Sharks), Damian de Allende (Stormers), Faf de Klerk (Sale Sharks), Andre Esterhuizen (Sharks), Warrick Gelant (Bulls), Elton Jantjies (Lions), Herschel Jantjies (Stormers), Cheslin Kolbe (Toulouse), Jesse Kriel (Bulls), Makazole Mapimpi (Sharks), S’bu Nkosi (Sharks), Willie le Roux (Toyota Verblitz), Handré Pollard (Bulls), Cobus Reinach (Northampton Saints), Frans Steyn (Montpellier)

Nothing new here - but the question is what the playing team against NZ will will look like.  My guess is the following:-

15 Willie le Roux, 14 S'bu Nkosi, 13  Jesse Kriel, 12  Damian de Allende, 11  Cheslin Kolbe, 10 Handre Pollard, 9  Faf de Klerk, 8  Duane Vermeulen, 7  Pieter-Steph du Toit, 6 Kwagga Smith, 5 RG  Snyman, 4  Eben Etzebeth, 3  Frans Malherbe, 2  Malcolm Marx, 1 Stephen Kitshoff

Replacements  :   16  Bongi Mbonambi, 17  Tendai Mtawarira, 18 Trevor Nyakane, 19  Lood de Jager, 20  Francois Louw, 21  Hershel Jantjies,  22  Elton jantjies, 23  Lukhanjo Am

Kolisi is not in the squad so he will not play in any tests in the RC.  I am not sure about the replacements, Erasmmus may prefer some other players after studying the game against Australia.

Have doubts about Cheslins defence.  But guess it has to be tested.

Also think Frans or Leyds will be chosen ahead of Am as Boks need an utility back. Frans needs to be tested again and he has played in all positions in backline bar scummie.

36 players chosen to tour. What chances any other players breaking into squad if no injuries.

Have doubts about Fransie - his defense was non-existent on Saturday.   He can be a cover for full back  - but his pace-deficiency may count against that.

The AB's picked some players they would normally not have picked against the Argentinians like Jordie Barrett ahead of  Ioane and I think they will use Goddhue at outside center,

My own problem is that Kolbe struggle against the AB's - he is physically too small to be effective - especially defending  against the big Aussie wings.   He may be on the bench and Mapimpi playing ahead of him.

You have 'your doubts about Fransie'.......wehe.....gosh what progess. From total and complete conviction that Frans is useless Tokkie now has his doubts. I suspect your team is fairly close though Tokkie.

Mozart

Who is worse - Esterhuizen or Steyn.  Both are on test level useless.  Steyn is NO CENTER recognized as such a\by both Plumtree and Montpellier - so why should he be in the Springbok squad?

Frans is the most complete 12 since readmission. If you want your imposter look no further than Damian. Is he a wing or an outside centre? Or is he a cowardly inside centre trying to run away from the big boys? I dub him the hybrid position: Chicken-W ing.

According to you - bit nobody else.   Why if he is so good as a complete center did -

*   Plumtree said he was no center at all; and

*   Montpellier stopped  using him at center and moved him to full back?

The answer is simple - he is a crashballer with a poor defensive record and deficient  pace to boot.    A very promising player in his youth that turned sour by 2012.

His 2012 was actually very good. Better than any period of time with Serfontein or Damian. The "crashballing" you cite is called "straightening the line" in rugby speak. The opposite of Damian running an overs line, looking for space!

As per Plumtree? What did he achieve with the Sharks? He inherited the best attacking team in super rugby and ruined it within months. They were never an attacking force under him. The greatest egg of all: After dropping Frans, Plum went through a procession of players at 12 - all failing - and ended up with Frans again, who yet again out-produced all of them! You are too easy Lügnerin!

By the way, can you identify any world class 12 who is known for their speed?

Allende cowardly Organhuffer what nonsense is that. Are you trying to be way out controversial or what.

The guy is like another loose forward!!

Saving Frans proving otherwise Allende remains our best 12.

Personally I hope Frans gets enough test time to make an informed assessment.

Your take on Reinach is also nonsense. Watched a clip showing Reinach scori g brilliant tries up north.

Nothing wrong with his passing either. You feverish imagination is getting the better of you.

But sure let's watch how he goes. So far so very good.

That is a very large squad, about 2.5 teams. Why is the travelling squad having so many players?
The World Cup would need a larger squad as it is 6 back to back matches in one country.

Beeno

You should now by now that scoring of tries or assisting in scoring same is not worth anything in the player assessment of Mozart and AO - matter of fact according to them it is a liability in the case of their pet hate players.

So De Jager scored a try and so did Reinach yesterday - but not a word from those two.

Where has Damian been a contributor to tries? How many assists does he have? Damian is an impediment to every backline he plays in. He craves space, but when in space he has zero composure or vision to make it count. Look at the home NZ test last year, or the Twickenham test. Shambolic. Coaches mostly use him in scripted sequences where he bashes into the seam, but it results in slow ball and rather languid and predictable attack. Look at the Brisbane test last year and the Twickenham test. Or the Samoa and Scotland tests of 2015. You gift him front foot ball against a passive defence and he looks entirely impotent. He has never shown an aptitude for test rugby. Whenever I press his fans for details, they draw blanks. Why is that? If you know I am wrong, surely you can tell me why. Surely you can find at least a crumb of evidence. Then they make it worse: "Everyone says/knows X, Y, Z". Good. If everyone knows, then that information must be abundantly available. Good find it. More blanks. Many laughs ensue.

Does Lood's pick and drive define his overall contributions? No it doesn't. Does Reinach's try define his overall contributions? No it doesn't. That's were you lose these discussions. Repeat the mistakes they make against a quality side, especially the NH sides. You lose. Plain and simple.

I have tried to avoid addressing this issue, but the time has come. There's an individual who 'contributes' to this little meaningless forum and has in excess of 35k postings. Said individual typically posts the same 'contribution' twice, and in some cases even in greater multiplications, and it's really doing my head in. I just cannot fathom the etiological precipitant(s) . Is it a simple case of Tourettes? Maybe anal-expulsive personality traits? Memory impairment? A dialup connection? WTF is going on? Help me out here.

Do I really have to combat lies and distortions by you.   Plumtree too his team in 2012 to the Super Rugby FINAL and was fortunate he did not play Frans Steyn in those matches.   That was better than White did in 2014.

The team had wo major problems in 2013 and those were -

*   they were hit by an injury crisis beyond all reasonable expectations; and

*   played Steyn for the first four matches at center - where he f#cked up royally.

Those are the real facts - not the BS you wrote above,

By the way - the most memorable contribution  Steyn made to the 2012 tests were two relieving kicks in the red zone of the Springboks that rolled on the grass in two separate matches.   For the ret he was useless.  And there is a difference between stretching the line and crashballing.   If you do not get that simple difference it would be impossible to get reality into your empty brain cavity.

In plain language crashballing ends attacks and straightening the line means starting attacks.

The most memorable contributions Frans made in 2012 were the game winning try against the Pumas and running over three All Blacks in succession in Dunedin. I particularly liked those! You have an exceedingly poor memory, where the information you spout isn't tampered with by your opposable tongue.

So, the Sharks scrapped 5th place in 2012 during the final round of the season after languishing between 7th and 10th most of the season and you conclude Plum was better than Jake? Jake kept the Sharks #1 most of the season until a spate of injuries disrupted the side.

Plums Sharks played two NZ teams during the regular season and only beat the lowly Blues by a few points. They were beaten 6 tries to 2 by the Canes. Not to mention their last 8 games were in SA, most at home. Then they beat the Stormers in SA before being trounced by the Chiefs. So the draw was very favourable for the Sharks.

In 2014 the Sharks played 5 out of 6 of their last 6 games away, 2 in New Zealand and 2 in Australia. They beat both NZ sides, which included the Saders. No, Jake's Sharks were the more dominant side and with Frans at 10 they were unstoppable.

You lose this debate each and every time you bring it to the surface like a stubborn floater that won't flush!

No - you are talking Kak again   , That wonderful break he made in Dunedin was beating ONE defender - not three - and a charge down kick after buggering up the game comprehensively earlier;

Then your description of the 2012 Super Rugby play-offs are lies as well.   The first play-off game was against the Reds in Dunedin - the next week against the Stormers in Cape Town and the third against the Chiefs in Hamilton.  A really mad schedule  and they reached the FINAL.

White's team in 2014 Never reached the FINAL - huge difference dimness.

No - you are talking Kak again   , That wonderful break he made in Dunedin was carrying the ball  times  for a total gain of 19 meters.   All the seven carries entailed a meter gain as indicated and in total he did nothing special in ball carries.  The main bugger-up was when in one case where there was a possibility of a try - he made a very poor pass  behind the back of Habana that killed the movement.     In the two tests combined Steyn made 11 tackles missing 4 tackles - in the Dunedin test he missed a tackle on Dagg who sored a try.

If that was the best center play you saw then you are seriously deluded,   By the way - after losing the test in Australia - Soth Africa beat then at home comprehensively for two reasons - neither the useless Morne and worse Fat Fransie did play in the home game that year and for that reason the backline did function for a change,

Then your description of the 2012 Super Rugby play-offs are lies as well.   The first play-off game was against the Reds in Dunedin - the next week against the Stormers in Cape Town and the third against the Chiefs in Hamilton.  A really mad schedule  and they reached the FINAL.

Idiot supreme  - Idiot Speak would not help you here.   De Jager made 14 tackles on the day and missed NONE - the most of any SA player - but the fact that he made those are ignored  by you and the fact that his physical strength was enough to score a try was also ignored by you.  BS supreme as per normal.
