SA Super XV 2019_ Post-mortem

At this stage, it seems both will not make it past the quarters... 

The Bulls play the hurricanes away - The Sharks play Brumbies away.

It was the toughest SA local conference with pretty much all, teams, losing and winning to each other. 

The New Zealand conference is usually more competitive than it was this year, with 2 teams easily winning most local derbies

The Jaguars are finally playing to their potential with consistency- and now the second or third-best team in the tournament. 

No SA team finished in the worst teams was the only consolation. Having a few week teams in your local conference helps with the points cash cow. 

This format will end next year and the new format will produce a better idea of the reals trenght of teams.    

...In the end the Lions ended up winning more games than the Chiefs , Sharks and  Highlanders but not enough bonus points to go through.... so four NZ teams go through to the top eight - bonus points is where it's at...

Divine justice in the end some would say after earlier an ugly 42 - 6 penalty count favoured the Lions at home.,..the Highlanders victim of that lop sided penalty count the last team to qualify for the finals - they now face the Crusaders though...
