I was hesitant about a umber of players - but was more interested in what was achieved by the players involved. Schreuder for instance had a very good game for the dismal Kings.
The number 1 position could also be disputed - so I am looking forward to comments.

Francois Venter sure is a talent. I would have no problem with him in the Bok 13 jersey even though my top choice in the midfield would be Janse van Rensburg and Vorster at 13.
I also like the Cheetahs scrummie. Hope he comes to the Lions when the Cheetahs are ousted.
There is a lot of talent in the Cheetahs that need homes. I wonder what parameters will be used to determine who goes where?

CC as far as I know SARU will identify the 245 players to be in the Super Rugby pool and the franchises will then identify the players they have and add to that list from the pool thus established.
There will be quite a lot of Cheetahs and Kings players in the pool - so they may go anywhere the franchises choose.
The scrummie situation i n particular is a farce - I think that Reinach is going and three of the scrummies are way past retirement age - so I think that both Venter and Schreuder will soon find places in their new franchises.
There are some young scrummies coming through that would develop over the next two years.

Francois Venter less than 2 metres a carry.....2 tackles made/3 tackles missed. You have to be kidding.

So scoring a try means nothing to you. Who else was their to pick anyway at 13. Your favourite Mapoe? The only other option was Viljoen - so what positive can you propose.

Excuse me if I'm wrong, but on prior occasions haven't you said there was no candidate for a position....don't bother to reply I know the facts. I agree though Viljoen was milk toast.

Quote his stats and prove to us Viljoen was milk toast - and I NEVER had a problem in finding a 13 liar. You missed 90% Viljoen did in the game yesterday - or pretended you did not see it - so I am not surprised at your BS.

Venter and Rohan vs Wales
.
Venter 12 runs, 12 metres gained.....1 ball lost....5 tackles made....2 tackles missed.
..
Rohan 6 runs, 16 metres gained......1 ball lost....1 tackle made....3 tackles missed
..
Sure it's really obvious that's the pair we need.

Was that not the test the Springboks lost last year and their first test ever? Was the whole team not dysfunctional in that test? Easy to go for two first timers in a game where the coach and captain were clueless and the players required to play what nobody could reasonably call a game plan?
Sorry - but I do not regard individual games as career-defining - you do and even individual incidents in games you regard as such - even of your descriptions of what actually happened is totally disorientated.
I do not necessarily regard the team of the week as selectable to the Springbok team in any event. It merely reflects the best performers in individual positions during the games that round. I do look at all-round performance and expect from backline player to do more than defend only. Hence a flyhalf that takes poor decisions - like for instance Pollard is apt to do - is not acceptable.
You said Viljoen is milk toast and I asked you to produce his stats to prove your statement - yet you suddenly ran for cover and failed to do so. Will remind you in future about that one as well.

As usual you blame the team....but even if the team is doing poorly you don't need to miss 76% of your tackles. And if you want to post Viljoen's 18 metres in 6 runs go ahead......he was milktoast.

Another fact - you were asked to quote Viljoen's stats and you quoted one aspect - so that settles it. A twister of facts will always be a twister of facts and you are very poor at that. Making two line breaks and beating 2 defenders do not count in the case of Viljoen. Drawing in 3 defenders and creating space for Du Preez and the ultimate score by Leyds does not count either. What a falsifier of misleading facts we have here.
Fact is that if your favourite De Jongh was at outside center that try if the Stormers would never have been scored and Mapoe would have had a field day against him - a proven fact of the past.

Viljoen drew 2 defenders, not 3, in what was a pretty basic bit of center play, running into the space between two defenders. The guy circled in white (Vorster?) was never in a position to tackle either Viljoen or anyone outside him - he was covering Du Plessis. Viljoen never drew the guy covering Du Preez either.
Next, Viljoen proceeds to throw a near hospital pass to Du Preez. The only saving grace was that the man covering Du Preez made a massive defensive blunder by appearing to attempt an intercept because he was watching play on the inside instead of being aware of where his man was. A more alert defender with better judgment could have made a sitter of a spot tackle on Du Preez and stopped the move right there.
In the end it worked out, but more due to a defensive blunder by the Lions player than anything else. This is exactly the type of try we've seen numerous times charged to the account of both Habana and Jean de Villiers when they broke the defensive line to go for an intercept - and failed.

Your pic selection is as per normal open to misrepresentation. The defender in frant of Du Preez ended up going in to tackle Viljoen - so he effectively drew in thre defenders and missed the boat completely.
Fact is it was poor defense of the Lions - but it does not reduce the quality of the play of Viljoen in this case. So what are you trying to prove here? Discre diting De Villiers and Habana in this case would put you in for a serious reprimand by your fellow Mong no 1

So much for the magic bit of centre play...I saw him occupying the space and I saw the botched intercept attempt. I never really saw the hospital pass, but in reality it was. The pass was thrown unnecessarily late. Thrown a step or two earlier, du Preez could have drawn the Lions winger and Leyds could still have been sprung on the overlap.....as it was it risked the interception, or a heavy tackle perhaps leading to a turnover. Good spot Pakie.

So, you're saying the guy circled in red is going in to tackle the guy circled in white? Ohhhkaaaayyyy....
Discrediting De Villiers and Habana in this case
I'm not sure how mentioning that some of their botched intercept attempts led to tries for the opposition counts as discrediting them. It is merely a statement of fact.

Liar as per usual and the man said he is to be believed as to anything about rugby. You really should refrain from making BS comments that everybody else disputes.
Are you too dim to realize that a player drawing in defenders leaving a 2 on 1 outside of him creates space for the players outside of him, dimwit?

No one is disputing there is a 2 on 1.
I merely fixed your assertion that he drew 3 defenders (it was only 2), and pointed out that Viljoen's pass sold out Du Preez and could have blown the 2 on 1 overlap had the defender made a spot tackle instead of attempting an intercept.
That's all. No more needed to be said. It's a simple point, and one that you're free to disagree with. But let's drop the juvenile name calling and insults and the lies - like the one that a defender 7 meters away from Viljoen and 1 meter away from Du Preez is actually trying to tackle Viljoen. That's just nonsense too stupid to even waste the attention on that I just did.

It is no use discussing rugby with a mong. Du Preez ran quite a few meters before passing the ball to Leyds - so you are buggering around with facts again. This all started with BS written by Mozart and you are as always their to support him. Just do not understand how an arse kreeper can operate and not feel ashamed about it.
