15      SP Marais

14      Kobus van Wyk

13      Jesse Kriel

12      Andre Esterhuizen

11      Johnny Kotze

10      Handre Pollard

  9      Ross Cronje

  8      Warren Whiteley

  7      Cobus Wiese

  6      Roelof Smit

  5      JD Schickerling

  4      Lood de Jager

  3      Wilco Louw

  2      Malcolm Marx
  1      Jacques van  Rooyen
I was thinking of Am at 13 - but throwing a ball away when there was a three-on-one overlap reduced his contribution into the negative category.
The smaller SA wings are a dead loss for the teams they play for.   Speedy - but not good enough under high balls.  Esterhuizen put in a good performance, with De Allende showed signs that he may be on the comeback trail,  Although Pollard started at 12  he ended up in his normal 10 position.    Van Rooyen was in stiff competition with Kitshoff for the number 1 selection.

Lomp was awol. Kriel 9 runs, a paltry 20 metres, no tackles beaten....only 4 tackle attempts, 3 made. Tje usual frenetic incompetent display. Ross Cronje was poor. Andries Coetzee was fragile under the high ball. And that's just one game. How many of your other choices are wrong D Cup,

Surely the team of the week should be based on the way in which the players performed in the respective positions that they played in?

Mozart

We know that you ae clueless when it comes to rugby - so who would you instead of the above?

Give us the names of players you suggested and make sure it is based on performance and not hate speak I would gladly make changes to the above team.

As per normal you have as much wit as one would find in a piss pot.

Nobody can ever be as stupid as your cricket selections indicates - get rid of your age mania and a logical discussion will be possible,

Hmmm ... most of the players you've chalked up come from teams that ... um ... lost this weekend ... or at best drew at home.

What must the players from the only winning SA team do to get into your "team of the week"?

If you're going to choose a player like Pollard, surely he should be placed in the position he actually played most of the match in?

I see there's no mention of Mostert.

Kriel over Mapoe? Common!!

No Ruan Dreyer?

Esterhuizen in place of Rohan?

LOL!!!

CC

When I select players I look at he opposition as well.   A strong team against a weak team and the strong team players must really be better than the players from other franchises with stronger opposition.   Wilco Louw was miles better than Dreyewr - who is at best a comparatively  weak scrummager.

Mapoe was up against Kriel and one would expect from Mapoe to be better than Kriel - which in my opinion he was not.

I would say that in the case of the no 12 center I would have picked De Allende ahead on  Janse van Rensburg too.

As o Pollard he was often enough first receive4r in the course of play - so I pick him foprhis specialist position.   My second choice at 10 was in fact Robert du Preez,

Moxtert at 7 was weaker than both Wiese and Van Dyk in all facets of play.
