SA was up against NZ and won the game despite a whistle-crazy referee.
England and NZ - second and fourth on the log did not make the semi's and will go down further on the log insofar as log p oints are concerned. Fiji and the US can improve their standings on the log - but are so far behind SA that it would not make a substantial difference to the actual log position. SA meets the US in the semi.

The point difference on the log between Fiji and SA is 26 points at present. If Fiji beats SA in the final that figure would come down to 23 points. If SA wins the number of points will increase to 29 points. Irrespective of what happens Fiji will now be second on the log.

Fi ji won - the SA players for a change show no real interest in the game - Powell will not be happy.
