Our U18 side has just thrashed both England and France Our u18A side lost by 3 points to both the England and France’s main sides There is some serious talent coming through on SA rugby, especially at centre where between the two SA sides, I saw at least 5 class centres two of which I have mentioned before in Bruce Sherwood the Bishops 12 and Julius the 13 from Paul Roos, add Litelihle Bester at 13 from Maritzburg Grey lock JF v Heerden is a superstar in the making another Matfield/Eben The 9 kicked equally well with both feet - I think his name was Nel

Our top schools' rugby sides are run more professionally than most provinces in this and many other countries. Last weekend Gey College traveled to Stellenbosch...we have top schools across the country playing each other regularly from under 14 right through to u19...best coaches and professional guidance from a young age...it's been like that for a few years now...beginning to show dividends...

Results achieved in younger ranks do not translate automatically in older ranks.

Especially as certain teams go for the quick buck and enforce a way of playing that has no future once the older thing is reached.

In the case of SA, it must be added that those teams are being used as platforms to bait teams and hire players.

SA rugby has nothing local, it has nothing african.

Rugby is perceived by people who have their hands on rugby in SA as a ticket to get out of SA.

Denial is not just a river in Egypt. Too bad SA rugby supporters use theirs to water down rugby fields in SA, that would be a positive contribution to their country for once.

Great news to read about the upcoming talent being developed at school level.

Can only benefit SA rugby.

Just trust that the political element is removed from all sport before these young players reach the senior level of the game.

Go Bokke.

The way they have been playing does not scale up to senior level.

At best, they could hope to bamboozle european scouts and get a contract.

SA rugby U18 does not prepare the future, since SA rugby have no future.

It is a platform to showcase players, hoping a lenient soul will sympathetize.

Fatties at age group level that get found out in the presence of men. You faggots never fucking learn! I've been hearing this shit about great depth for decades. It always turns to shit. They'll become unknown names on a Saffex list. Fucking hilarious really! XD

You know what's really sad Rose?

It's the fact that your best 23 got thumped by a team riddled with quotas.

You Poms couldn't even beat our fat 3rd stringers.

That's sad. Very sad.

Here you are waffling on and on about our fatties when in truth you'd give your left nut to have a few of our fatties in your side.

Even our useless 3rd string quotas without a gameplan had their way with you.

It must hurt knowing that we don't need to send our best to clean your wimpy team up.

Your tearful rants are starting to make sense now.

Spent time watching the marvels.

Second test against FR.

Lost by SA.

It happened that as soon as one team chooses to opt out of their game development program to adopt a similar way as SA, then SA rugby are exposed again.

Nothing to see.

The results are acquired the way they were depicted: when in development, asking a team to play a certain way that may not be immediately profitable as an investment for the future is quite common.

Which makes those teams vulnerable to teams that sacrifice long term returns for a quick buck.

For some reason, FR opted out of their development program and went for a less demanding type of rugby, closer to what SA rugby came with.

Result: SA rugby lost.

Not sure that FR will benefit from that side step but they got the win they wanted. Maybe passing a message or what.

thumped by a team riddled with quotas.

That is a topical remark as it leads to the next game incoming: guess which side the african side is.
