In 2023 there was a number of dicussions on the fly-half and while some wer punting Libbok I was supporting Sacha as the future Springbok flyhalf.   As late as February 2024 nobody actually know abou him and  kep suggesting Shaca as rge frontrunner,

Now we know me about him and watch the follwing two videos:-

Do bears shit in the woods?

Of course, he is the real deal... T he only question is if he will continue improving.  Already, he is the most all-round flyhalf I have ever seen for South Africa.

SB

That is why he is the key to future backline attacks by the Springboks and why I am optimitic about what is going to happen iro SA Rugby.

My late father - a rugby addict - told us when we were kids - that the  Springbok backline only function if there is a Jew playng in the backlne.   Maybe the old man was correct - Sacha is from Lithuanian Jewish descent  xo on the one hand and from pure Zulu on te other side,

He has pace and an instinctibe ability a few playes have.   Wish we have some more players like him in the backline.

It's an old thing in Bok tradition that a Jewish Bok brings luck for the team.
"There have been ten Jewish Springboks, known as the “Springbok Minyan” starting with Morris Zimmerman's debut in December 1931, followed by Louis Babrow, Fred Smollan, Dr Cecil Moss, Alan Menter, Joseph Kaminer, Syd Nomis, Dr Wilf Rosenberg, Joel Stransky and Okey Geffin."
"All in all, Jewish players have played 78 Tests for South Africa, winning 57, drawing six and losing 15."
Guess Sasha is lucky leven...

I'm pretty sure everyone agrees SFM is our best and most exciting flyhalf, but he needs to be a reliable place kicker as well otherwise you have to pick a reliable place kicker elsewhere.

Hope Sacha gets there. He's not there yet. Everything else is potentially world class.

As a black Lithuanian Jew, he has gas in his blood and has the natural instinct and genes to run fast. It all bodes well for us.

There is one thin esential for especially flyhalfs and that is ball sense and instinctie decision making.    The latter eement is very cear in te case of SFM.   Physicality is one requirement - but of  more iportance ito elements mentioned is n the case of flyhalfs even more mportant.   You rarely\find all those requrements in one player,

Since 1995 we had kicking dummies as flyh alf and Jame was as thick a a brick/    Pollard was better - as a flyhalf but he lost pace and is no really a  attacking force anymore,    I mudt add e never had a flyhal anwhere near to where Sacha is already and he can get better  wth experience,

Sasha has missed a few easy kicks, but his overall kicking stats appear good.
Sour ce.

Based on the search results, here are Sacha Feinberg-mngomezulu's kicking stats for the Springboks:

Accuracy

Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu has the highest kicking accuracy among the Springbok flyhalf candidates selected for the international season. Specifically:

  • He has an 85.7% success rate, making 18 out of 21 kick attempts.

  • This puts him second overall in accuracy behind Chris Smith (86%), who is not in the Springbok squad.

Recent Performance

In a recent match against the All Blacks:

  • Feinberg-Mngomezulu successfully converted 6 out of 8 goal attempts.

  • He made an impressive 61-meter penalty kick.

  • He led the team with 15 kicks in play during the match.

Overall Kicking Game

Feinberg-Mngomezulu has demonstrated a well-rounded kicking game for the Springboks:

  • He employs a variety of kicks, including grubber kicks to unlock defenses.

  • His kicking has been crucial in the Springboks' more expansive attacking system.

  • In a match against the Wallabies, he scored 8 points from kicks, successfully converting 4 out of 5 attempts after missing his first.

While his sample size is smaller compared to some other kickers, Feinberg-Mngomezulu's accuracy and versatility in kicking have made him a standout performer for the Springboks so far.
