Sacha …..hope he stays healthy

….because watching this kid is about the best thing in rugby right now. Yesterday effortlessly beating tackles, the snap drop, the impossible 50/22, the deft pass that put Englebrecht in for a try, Yes he probably lost the game with his silly obstruction, but in a way I even liked that, his competitive spirit is always evident and he will learn to avoid the excessive hubris.

We haven’t got the best out of so many of these mega talents because of injury..,,Skinstad, Big Joe, Snyman. This kid may be the most talented of all, but he puts his body on the line all the time….dangerous.

Right now he looks like an emerging DuPont in terms of his effortless playmaking….another player who perhaps gets too involved in the forward exchanges.

They ahould get someone to coach him to protect himself and minimize the risk of injury...almost like they did Naas.

Maybe Jean….his knee injuries were both the result of exposing himself in fetching positions, his first at age 21 against France….just like du Pont with his Achilles.

Yeah Sacha is definitely not scared to put his body on the line..

I agree it would definitely not hurt for him to train to minimise his risk and his judgement in protecting himself.

It's like the young guys always get big injuries early on in their careers. Roos had a few, Sacha has had his, Willemse, Moodie...Hannekom too.

Anyway, Sacha never disappoints. Let's just hope that he gets to play with Williams and vd Berg who will give him snappy service...and that he only has to suffer DDA at 12 for a year.

The foreign commentators can seem to heap enough praise on him either.

The type of guy where even if you're not very interested in a particular match, you'll switch on just to see what he gets up to.

If I were a French club with plenty of money and looking for a 10 that can turn games for me and create, I'd probably put in a sizeable bid for Sacha. Guys like this, at his age, come along once in a very long time.

He's young, very likeable, and looking like in a couple of years from now, no other 10 on the planet will be close to him. Playing at 80% he's still better than anybody else out there...aside from Marcus Smith. However, Smith has plenty of experience, and Sacha is only getting started.

Were I to be buying a long term 10 right now, nobody other Sacha would even enter the conversation.
