Guys, thats it from me in NZL. I am off to Brisbane with the lady on June 21. A 4 year business visa that was granted yesterday takes me there with the option to apply for residency after 2 years but its not all doom and gloom for NZL guys. I still retain my NZL perm residence status so as long as my passport is current, I can return whenever I like.

Whilst we have settled on June 21st as we believe this is sufficient time to find my NZL replacement and sell up for relocation, I do leave behind my extended family so no doubt I will be back for some visits and perhaps some test matches between the Boks and AB's. I dont suggest the country will clean up their act in terms of cheating in rugby but I cant miss a chance to watch the Boks when they over this side of the world.

I guess that is just a bit of a silver lining for you Kiwi's to know I will be back ;-)

Good luck to you and yours in Brisbane.  Hope you do well there.   Just don't tell me you are not going to become a Reds supporter!!!!.  Mind you - they need support badly - so one more could help poor redsman !!!

Good luck to you Boklogic. We end up in strange places in pursuit of a job to support our families. I never thought I would be living and working in Poland but to my surprise we love it here. Hope your experience in Brisbane is positive also. Besides you can always re-visit NZ to get some sanity so all is not lost.
The Ozzie can be a crass, boorish fellow but they can have a great sense of humor also. Try & teach them something about rugby would ya?

Good luck Boklogic in your new endeavour...I hope you and your family will be happy in Queensland...one thing if you like the sun you'll find the climate similar to Durb's without all the pollution, litter and crime. Keep ol' Redsman company but don't allow him to hoodwink your support for the Reds...lol.

Thanks for the kind words guys. Appreciate it.Yeah Cloudy, Brisbane (more actually Sunshine coast and Gold coast) have been my "go to" places for the last few holidays as I know more people from back home that are there than in NZL. I know all too well about the kiwi population there but I dont mind that. In all honesty, I find Kiwi's to be very nice people. I just give as good as I get on this site. We have not been doing too well against the Kiwi's on the international rugby stage so I have to find another way to try rub you guys up ;-)Tell you what though, no words hurt more than when you kiwi's say, "We won" after a Bok v AB test match ;-) Nothing can change the score in history!
Ha ha Just win, love your touch about teaching the Aussies about rugby..I am just a normal bloke, not a miracle worker ;-)I will do my best to teach the odd one a thing or two about being gracious in victory and humble in defeat. Maybe I will start with David Warner!
Sebastien, Brisbane is the closest thing I have experienced to Durban weather and thats what appeals. Supporting the Reds though will never be something I can be accused of ;-)

...boklogshit sorry to hear the deportation notice has finally kicked in and kicked yr useless yarpy butt out...but if you read between the lines , put mildly what the kiwis are really saying is...good riddance to bad rubbish...and if you never come back it will be far too soon...lol

...far too polite us kiwis....hopefully you've started a trend mate and glad you could finally take a hint from Brycy ...funny how the best thing you ever did for NZ was to leave...so happy days and good luck in the convict colony where you'll be much better suited and probably not such an abject failure ....
