Foul play at Women's World Cup

South African captain Mandisa Williams has been suspended for 16-weeks for foul play during the teams opening round loss to Australia. Williams was found to have made contact with an opponent's "eye(s) or eye area" and was also guilty of "striking a player with the fist or arm" during their match last Friday.

Somoa's Soteria Pulumu will also miss the remainder of the tournament, issued a straight red card for a very dangerous spear tackle on England's Natasha Hunt. She has been banned for nine weeks but this was reduced to five on account of the player's remorse and clean record.

I did not know that the women were also involved in foul play.
At worst maybe some hair pulling and scratching, but it seems much more severe than I anticipated.
Would not want to go out and get drunk and bump into this lot in a bar after a match.....
Look how big the captain Mandisa's thighs are compared to the girl that is tackling her. She must kick hard.

 Redsman
I hate being forced into agreeing with Kiwis but it would seem that indeed you are a bogan. Your rant when the Tahs won made me embarrassed to be an Aussie and too shamed to post when they won. Thanks for that.

haha ok claydog I do admit the turps and the emotions all kicked in that night and perhaps under different circumstance I would have been more restrained...

I will point out though that the kiwis are extremely bad losers and I felt I had to just unleash a bit of payback on them...

BTW watching the chick rugby now on replay on fox and its actually pretty entertaining...

That irish fullback can kick a ball... scar y thought...

Claydog: don't listen to redsman about kiwis being such sore losers. Make up you own mind. If you check the posts on the finals you will find most kiwis congratulated the tahs.

There has been a little bit of foul play with the "ladies" thus far and a very entertaining win for Ireland over NZ.
My lot are doing ok so it is shaping up to be an interesting Tournament !

Ah well, Beeno. You can't just turn up and expect to win all the time

And remember, it's the taking part that counts
