Well... a 17-4 penalty count and for the 2nd week in a row the reds on the wrong side of saffa ref.... I know if this was happening to a favoured kiwi or saffa team there would be sparks flying...

Reds were severely screwed but I stand but my opinion on their coaching staff this year jus not being up to scratch - even with that bent ref they should have easily accounted for the lions...

MORE TO THE POINT - HOW good were the Force (Australia's crappest easy-beats) showing the ol' glass jaw chiefs a thing about dominate forward play.

Good to see made up for the travesty that was the saffa reffing on the weekend...

Word is Folau may not be travelling to Africa but I expect to see more bent saffa reffing v the tahs as it seems there are some big agendas at play here....

yes "the get the Yappies email" that was copied has now changed to get the Ozzies!
Australia are commercially contributing the least in terms of $$, so we cant let them win close games.

just kidding, it would be better to have a ref from a different country as the match official, and also the TMO could be from the Northern Hemishphere but able to speak English properly.
Both the Cheetas and Reds can feel very hard done this weekend. It is frustrating as a fan to see your own team get screwed over

I'm going to be perfectly honest here and say that the Lions deserved to win and that the Ref made the correct calls.
So far the Reds have committed 14.5 penalties on average excluding their last match. In the Lions match the Ref penalised the Reds 19 times, compared to the Lions at 4.
The Reds were infringing at ruck time and got rightfully pinged for it, they were constantly cheating in there and weren't pinged for it the first half. Even Horwill got warned. Those sorts of tactics are cheap and reminiscent of Wallabies ala RWC 2011 QF.
Reds are at their own fault, should have kept their discipline and adapted to the ref rather than being arrogant idiots.

You are also forgetting cheaser that the Stormers were robbed of a win against the Crusties and certainly also against the brumbies.Saffa refs must reply in kind. A couple of dubious incidents and the cry babies from down under are up in arms. Great - please saffa refs ping these guys where ever possible. The result of a a couple of incidents via saffa refs has already got Bray promising action. I say up your efforts saffa refs blow the down under sides out of the game. We must also complain like anything at their perenial cheating (WELL DONE NAKA!!) and who knows we may finally get the clean up we have been wanting since 1994.
To equate saffa refs with kwi refs is the call of the lunatic. By the way redsman oz refs are dismal as well. REMEBER DICKINSON
Sharkbok pleaSe wake up there are no such things as Neutral refs. Both nz refs and Oz refs are out to get the jarpy, and have been very busy in this regard. For our part we favour the kiwis. Hence the mythical kiwi rubgy record since 1994 that they love to appeal to as if it ahs any meaning. It's time to wake up and smell the pong. ITS EASY TO WIN MATCHES WITH THE REF IN YOUR POCKET. WINS OBTAINED LIKE THAT MEAN ZIP. SAFFA REFS NEED TO TEACH THE BENT DOWNUNDER NUTTERS THIS SIMPLE TRUTH. GO FOR IT SAFFA REFS YOU CAN DO MUCH BETTER. JUST FOLLOW THE EXAMPLE OF BENT DOWN UNDER REFS. PLENTY OF VIDEO EXAMPLES FOR YOU TO FOLLOW. LET' S HAVE A FIRST CLASS ROW AND PERHAPS THINGS WILL IMPROVE AFTER THAT.

Much as I hate to say it I thought the ref was OK. Usually the reason for a one sided penalty count is one team infringing more than the other. Thought it was amusing to winge about a lineout throw not being straight when you didn't contest.

Since when is refs supposed to hand out penalties on a "one for you, one for them" basis in any case?
