Did you watch the Pakistan - SA ODI yesterday? Did you know that Quinton de Kock made a century (112 runs) at 20 years of age the youngest ever SA player who score a century in an ODI? What do you think of the youngster? I think he should become the permanent opener in the side - since Graeme Smith is not producing the goods in ODI's anymore - maybe the older you get the slower the reflexes are?
The second question is - who do you think would be SA sportsperson of the Year? I do not think a rugby player would be in the running - probably Chad le Clos after breaking the World Record in the 200 meter short course butterfly swim twice during the past three months and winning the World Cup swimming championship through getting most points in that competition. The penultimate leg of the competition is on Sunday and Monday in Tokyo and the last leg on 24 and 15 November in Peking - but no other swimmer can get to the total points he already got.
Nice Durbs guy that one - won five golds this week in Singapore for the 50, 100 ad 200 meters butterfly - as well as the 200 meters freestyle and 200 meters Individual Medley. At 21 years of age - one to watch for more world records in future.
