Ou maaaikie I agree and have just posted elsewhere Frans and Jordaan outplayed Jan and JJ.
If the bulle have a decent center I would like to see JJ on the wing.
Not that Frans is over his injury he is able to train and his weight is down to 106 kg. As i predicted he would be fine once all this happened.
Poor snapster is still recovering from the shock re Hougaard and thinking how he can dodge the EGG. Hahahahahahahahahaha

@Beeno: Hougaard will bounce back . He is one of those players that has been messed around with. Some time in one position over a course of time will allow him to develop some stability. One of the great selection blunders was the retention of Pienaar over Hougaard; that one stunted the Boks severely.

He has been shifted about but because he is not cuting it at scrummie. He has played scrummie for years now. If he had gone to the Cheetahs he may have been fine.
The bulle are trying to make him into a Du preez. They have a game plan which if executed well works very well. Du preez is their model scrummie.
It's got so bad I am doubting his mental ability for the position. Look how much better van Zyl was. This is very serious for the bulle. Hougaard stuffs up the backline in my opionion.
Then Jan and JJ look less impressive.

It's an area of his game that will improve with consistency. For the Boks he was actually not bad, Pienaar was selected because of his boot but that was rarely anything to write home about anyway, so we lost out overall; with a passive, lazy Pienaar. Hougaard is worth the patience. Along with Le Roux and Habana, he is one of our only genuine x-factor players with a mind to seek out and dominate his opposite. He will improve through the course of the season.
The backline problems go beyond a slower service than Hougaard. It hasn't been quite right for some time and without centres that can cope at a certain level you have nothing. You half-backs are the trigger point of the attack, your centres the barrel of the gun. The backline never got going because their centres were thoroughly dominated, and that has implications for your halfbacks.

Jordaans stats above are in the context of the game as a whole, it does not tell me that Jordaan was better than JJ personally....your stats provide no context at all, they do not tell me Jordaan was playing in a dominant side, that Jordaan was put into space, that JJ had limited attacking options......not to mention the fact that the stats are wrong given JJ clearly stepped Frans therefore beating a defender.
You can quote your patehtic stats until the cows come home.......they do NOT tell me that Jordaan beat or dominated or was better than JJ.....for the simple reason he was not.......but you are too thick to comprehend this. You are not capable of answering my question

Tell me about it Mike. Classic example of this was the form of Frans Steyn in 2012/2013.
Now dont get me wrong, I am a fan of Frans Steyn and believe a fit and sharp Frans Steyn is a must in any Bok team but I am also realistic and Frans was, for lack of a better word, pathetic in 2012 for the Boks and 2013 for the Sharks. You only had to see the man play to know he was struggling to maintain at that level. He did come back well at 13 on the overseas leg of Super rugby but in the beginning, he was crap!
Dave thought he was brilliant and sung his praises every game. Dave thought it was Frans making Lambie look shit when really, it was not hard to tell that Lambie went off the boil as he lost confidence in his 12! Dave still looked for any positives to take out of his performances and had him constantly in his Bok team of the week at 12..
Oh to be a favourite of Saffex..Guaranteed inclusion in the world 15 despite what form dictates.
He bangs on about Taute who was shit at 13 and we haven't seen the oke take a rugby field in months yet he loves the oke. He loves Hougaard who is easily the worst natural 9 in SA. Even Ross Cronje offers more from the base of a ruck as he has a much better flat pass from stand still.He loves JJ and Serfontein when these two have been shown up badly by Ebersohn and Sadie and now Steyn and Jordaan..Lets not even get into his delusional take on Jantjies. You cannot be serious! The game at 13 was his worst performance of the entire year! And added to that, he was particularly strong in the beginning. Are you just stirring? And as per 2012? He did well, particularly that Meyer intentionally had a limited plan with the backs that he only intended to expand once he found stability in the pack. Blaming Frans is just flawed.
