English Rugby may nor be happy - their 15 team losing against SA yesterday and the Sevens today.    After nearly losing against Spain earlier today - the Blitzbokke  won in extra time - they had top performances against New Zealand in the semi and England in the final beating both by 24-14.      .

We've beaten the AB 7s team 9 times in our last 12 outings. Not bad. What made today's victory sweeter is that we did it without Senatla, Branco Du Preez, Kwagga and Rosco Specman. What a wonderful achievement. And do we care how many whites or blacks were in the team? NO!! No one cares. A winning team is all that really counts.

Well, I guess if you haven't got 15 decent players you might as well play 7s
Congrats though!

Going into the weekend and with the momentum of the last few tournaments I would have bet my house that Fiji would take the series. But kudos to the BB's for really getting their shit together and defying the odds. Also, a wee thank you to England for eliminating Fiji for us.

The AB Sevens are not fast enough and they panic under pressure.   They prefer size to speed  and the matter caused problems for the over the past few years.

I was not very happy with Kok and Geduld this year.   Kok's defense was poor often enough and he missed a lot of tackles and in the Spain game Geduld - whose passing game was also below par - missed a conversion after a try when it was scored a mete from the posts.

Both improved their performance in the semi and final and the problems they showed regularly during the series were gone.

I still think Kwagga should play sevens on international level - he will not make it in the 15 game/    .
