Cape Town - Sharks lock Ruan Botha has fallen foul of SANZAAR who have issued the player with a warning for physical abuse.
Botha is said to have contravened Law 9.12 which states  "a player must not physically abuse anyone" during a Super Rugby fixture against the Highlanders on Saturday. The incident occurred in the 58th minute of the match played at Kings Park in Durban.          Ruan Botha tackled the Highland player, and it was deemed too physical after the player started crying.

A warning may be issued by the SANZAAR Citing Commissioner for foul play incidents that are very close to, but in his opinion do not meet the red card threshold for citings. The commissioner also noted that some players such as Liam Messam will always be let off due to their exemplary past records.
The Sharks proved too strong for their counterparts from New Zealand on the day, running out as easy winners. The New Zealand pack were not available for comment after the game as many required bandages and ice packs.

Started crying - is that a new way for NZ players to attract attention?   It was  clean tackle and within the law - but the result was "crying" and physical pushing.

Wonder who of the "crying" Highlanders after the match lodged the complaint?

Beeno is going to  have a field day about the crying issue!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sharkbok, I think you'll find Botha was cited for self abuse, not physical.

You can't blame him. After all, it's not often a SA side beats a Kiwi one so it's understandable he got a wee bit excited.....

moolaa

Really?  Why should SA teams play against Sub-standard NZ teams and then in the bar gain have to contend with crooked refs and crybabies as well?

Mike, we've been playing sub-standard SA teams for 100 years.....Get a grip.

That's why we're No.1 and you guys can't even get in the money.

Have to laugh at these stupid Yarpies who are too thick to realize Sharkbok edited the original post to add stuff about the Highlander player crying.
The clue should have been the bit about "tackled the Highland" player but the likes of Walter and notsoclever Mike just lapped it up.

Ka Mate

I suspected Sharkbok pulled a fast one - but could not help myself in that case.

However, fact is the Highlanders was disgraced on Saturday and I do think there were some crying or at last moaning in the change room after the match.   Wonder who complained to the match official about the tackle?    .

@Kak Maat

Ok Frodo...calm down.

Stop stroking Gandalf's staff! You know it gets you all giddy.

Put on your ring and go sit in the corner.

Just watched the replay.

Little biatch was trying to buy a penalty.

Was an innocuous clean out but he did his utmost best to play act for the ref 's whistle.

Plum

Just 0ne question - in watching the game again there was a case when Nkosi jumped for the ball and Naholo tried to knee him in the stomach near the critical parts of our anatomy?   Dirty play and he was duly penalized for that one.

I put in the question mark.   Just needling/stirring - don/t care too much about this.

Yes, you've edited your post to include a question mark but it still looks to me like a statement rather than a question.
Whether you're needling or stirring doesn't change the fact that you (and Walter and Draad) read that garbage that Sharkbok wrote about a Highlander crying and believed it.

You might not believe it now since you've been straightened out but you sure as hell believed it when you typed the third post on this thread.

Aag Ka, Sharkbok has a history of adding stuff to articles. This has happened quite a few times and was even obvious to you as a less regular poster. So believe what you like, but us yarpies are not as stupid as you like to think. Go read the thread again. The sarcasm was so thick, you could spot it miles away. It was funny till you injected the slur.

Mike I only watched from the 50 min mark.

I did notice the Landers seem highly surprised when they got called for A) tackling without the ball and B) camping offside.

All stuff that went unpunished last week.

Oh and who was it who said that if Naholo was playing last week the Landers would have wrecked the Bulls.

Humble pie tastes shyte...don't it

Hahahaha

Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahahahahahahahaaa!!

The poor dears ... they don't like the rough stuff, huh? They need to be protected from the mean Yarpies ... officially.

What next?

American football protective gear just for these self serving wimps?

Touch rugby perhaps. A no contact clause against any kiwi team?

Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahahahahahahahhaaa!!

To think that I held this nation in high regard at one time. I thought of them as tough, uncompromising ... men.

Boy did I get that wrong.

Now all I see is guys like the homo Hakwazeeeeeeee ... the sheep shagging Hick and his pie crust ... and off course, our very own wanker, Moolaa.

Time to drop these fags and go play up north.
