Sarel Pretorius stifled at Waratahs.

Just what the hell has happened to Super Sarel at the Waratahs? He left the Cheetahs being the most talked about attacking half-back in super rugby and now he can't even make the team's starting 15. We all know that his defense was poor, but it was his snipes around the ruck fringes, quick-thinking penalty taps and pacy dashes that made him so potent at the Cheetahs. Now it looks like his creativity and flare has been stifled by the Tahs gameplan which is a far cry from the exciting Cheetahs.

I wonder if he has any regrets...

This happens quite often - good players move to ranchises that play a different style etc and they are lost.

Sarel was the form scrummie in the super 15 last year. However enter Piet van Zyl - who looks full of potential. I suppose Sarel needed to cash in but it has not worked in rugby terms and now what does the future hold for him.
