SARU to Announce which 2 SA teams will be cut in December

Although Australia has not announced which teams will be cut either.
Maybe they are waiting until the end of the tournament before saying which teams are toast. 
If a region was to strike it during Superrugby 2017 it would be a disaster. Although- why not wait until the end of the tournament to make the announcement- unless 2017 is so bad- they dont want to the fan base to decline even more. 

Not sure if the Kings (now called the EP) will be dropped, or when. I expect the process will be delayed for so long it will effect other SA teams ability to gain sponsorship.

There was a long statement by SARU on the issue made last week - which effectively contained the whole process to be followed and it was indicated  that the Committee dealing with the issue would meet again next week.  
I do not think the process to be followed has anything to do with the  current series - it is much more complicated than that and it includes the sponsors and potential franchise owners as well.  Also Supersport - the major funder of the series through TV Rights.
The announcement is expected after the next Committee meeting on 23 April 2017 or at least an update on the situation will then be given.
