Bakkies Botha and Jaque Fourie are expected to be named in the Springbok squad to tour Europe.
Botha played the last of his 76 Tests for the Boks against Namibia at the 2011 World Cup, before returning to South Africa with an Achilles injury.
The lock then joined Toulon, and was part of their European Cup-winning team last season. He has been in outstanding form for the French club, which hasn't gone unnoticed by Bok coach Heyneke Meyer.
‘I believe Bakkies can still play for the Springboks,' said Meyer in April. 'Eben [Etzebeth] came through brilliantly last year, but how much better can he be with Bakkies mentoring him?’
Fourie recently announced that he had included a clause in his new contract with the Kobelco Steelers that would allow him to be picked for the Boks.
The centre, who has 69 Test caps, had previously made himself unavailable for the national side while he was playing club rugby in Japan.
Meanwhile, Meyer is set to include WP trio Scarra Ntubeni (hooker), Louis Schreuder (scrumhalf) and Gio Aplon (wing/fullback) in his squad, to be announced at 4:30pm on Monday.
Schreuder had a poor Currie Cup final on Saturday, gifting the Sharks an early try when he ran across field and threw a long pass that Charl McLeod intercepted. Aplon and Ntubeni, though, showed good form throughout the tournament.
