benji marshall at 28 is too old IMO, he needed to come round a little earlier, but i would love toi see waht he could do. while marshall dosent like to tackle, at least he can, u dont play NRL and be a superstar for as long as u can without knowing how to tackle. he wasnt bred in australia though, he was 17 when he went to OZ on a scholarship.
i always liked benji, he single handedly guided the west tigers to their only premiership with some of the most exciting league plays seen in ages, but he will be 29 next year so what he has to offer now will oly benefit the blues not the All Blacks which will be his goal.

better for him to stay at the tigers and be a life long memeber in 4 years time and injury premitting, he could crack the 300 club which is no small feat, after all hes one an NRl title, won the RLWC and even ensured that lokyear a league great retired without the RLWC in his pocket, all achievements that will be remeberd for the ages.

i had a look at the article u mentioned, normally i dont even open them for various reasons, but i will say
im very suspicious about user IDs saying who they are, especially when folks like beeno1 love to post under other IDs like storminged and lead people on for the fun it.

what has my spider senses all tingling is that beeno1 aka storminged has been very quiet and when storminged first introduced hismelf on here, it was under the exact same circumstances that olecruz did, its why i didnt bother reading the thread in the first place. then theres the similarities with their writing styles, beeno1 aka storminged has a habbit of after saying something immediately afterwards, emphasising it with a comment to further illustrate in either bold letters or brackets, this is classic beeno1 aka storminged and in olecruzs few posts, also a trait of his judging by his jamie jospeh and been away a while comments.

none of this is conclusive evidence mind u, but given the history here on this board and some of the tell tale signs of writing styles, i have my doubts.
but i wish him all the best if its true and not trying to stir the pot, im just not drinikng the same cool aid as everyone else yet, o_O

i do think that tomas lavanini has made a great choice, i wish i had watched more of argentinan u20s team, but with craig clarke leaving there could be a good opportunity for him to get game time, especiall if what i hear a bout romana grahma leaving is true.

i dont doubt for one second that toma lavanini will add value to the chiefs, but as olecruz mentioned, it will take some hard work to crack the team, unlike u nice neddle attempt, the coach of the reigning spXv champions and the the coach of the No1 undisputed rugby team in the world rate the chiefs locking partnership very highly. i know saffas dont agree, but MO u boys a very one eyed with those factless argument, but hey each to their own.

like i said i dont doubt hes a good player, i just have suspicons about him and ole being the same person, unless u know him behind the scenes and can vouch for his word, i will prob remain a little skeptical.
based on that wallabies lions thread though, he does have solid rugby nous which is something that beeno1 aka storminged totally lacks, so i could be way off which wouldnt be the firstor last time.

as for why would he go to NZ instead of SA, thats pretty obvious isnt it mikey, tomas is smart and wants to actually learn winning and exciting rugby, as opposed to SA who groom players that arent as smart and would rather play soccer if the histroy of thier rugby is anything to about.
17 super rugby tournaments and 11 of those titles are in NZ, almost quadruple what SA has, :oP

My knowledge of rugby is pretty average, but some of the posts I have read from Cruz , he seems more knowledgeable than anyone on this board- even you Sasuke!
