Is Carter going on a sabbatical.   I thought I heard a remark by the commentator that today was his last day for the Crusaders.

Not really a wonderful game he had today.   Bar his kicking at goal he was rather poor at best.

A bit of advice from a fantasy play perspective - get rid of Crotty - he is bad news. And De Jager did better than Sam Whitelock - will have to change that one myself - I always know it is not wise to select New Zealand locks - made a bad mistake by doing that.

@mikey,

its not sabatical, its matetrnal leave. hes expecting his first kid in the next week or so and will not be travelling with the crusaders to SA who are of to ur neck of the wodds to face thse sharks & stormers.

many are saying that hes doing the good thing, but IMO i think he needs to harden up and go with the crusaders, LMAO.
saders have only won two matches so far and are now doing the toughest part of the round with out their first two chocie flyhalves??? i mean taylors injured FFS.
i dunno mikey, maybe im just not in tune with it all, but crusaders have a good chance of both games, now i can only see them beating the sharks. if they do lose both areal but unlikely possibilty, i will put all the blame on carter, not fair but hey, my blame gun is for me to fire at who ever i want, lolz, :oP

what adds to the crusaders misery is owen franks, israel dagg & kerean read are all under an injruy cloud, theyre not just crusader incumbents, theyre All Black incumbents.
tom taylor isnt expected to travel to SA, so they are in a bit of a possible dire straights.
good news is the whitelock bros are all performing, so thats a nice bonus considering there are about as many of them as their are lemmings.

as for crotty, i didnt have the transfers to get rid of him this week, i also figured that seeing as how the kings were playing the crusaders, it wouldnt be bad to keep him for one more round.
getting rid of him this week though, peter saili was always ly prefered center paired with bieber.

Sasue

Thanks for the news on Carter.   He better not come to Cpe Town - where he is playing the field woith the free-giving and generous young ladies.   Would not from paternal perspective be good at all.   LOL.

I do believe that the Crusaders are going to have a very hard time coming to SA to play the Stormers and the Sharks - they may run into a brick wall in both cases.    Insofar as the play of Carter is concerned - I really am no impressed with what i saw of him thus far in the competition.   He made - as far as I can remember about two breaks in attacking play - the rest was standard passing and kicking - his only asset being his kicking at goal.

By the way I am not happy with Sam Whitelock either - so he is going out of my selections for  Fantasy Sport.  Was much more impressed with young Pieter-Steph Du Toit - but the Sharks are having a bye this week and cannot bring him on board yet.

I also wonder when Etzebeth would be back for the Stormers.  Originally it was stated that he would be back by the first week in April - so he might be back next week against the Crusaders.   If he is - with Bekker and him around - the Crusaders are bound to lose badly in the line-outs and in the tighter phases of the game.

Keep an eye open for young Serfontein in future - if he makes the starting line up against the Force this week -he will be my main selection change this coming week.

Now for the real bad news.   Bieber had an absolute shit game yesterday - but so did all the Rebel players.  Yellow-carded is just not on and he made no impression at all.   I suspect that he may come short again in the next round - the Cheetahs at home is going to be bad news for the Rebels.

In general our Foxsport selctions this week was just not good enough - It was my lowest score ever and in my case it was Lambie's poor goal kicking form in bad weather conditions .  He carried an injury - but hopefully will be back against the Crusaders in 14 days time.  Geb Robinson was completely outplayed and also bloody useless.  I am becoming convinced that against poor opposition a person can go for players like those two. Against stronger opposition - they are going to be good.

I still rate the brumbies as th only really acceptable team in Australia.  They ran over the Sharks last week - but may find it harder in weeks to come against  New Zealand teams as well.

I was also not impressed with Messam at all.

@mikey,

i have a vast differnt opinion on carters performance to date, im very happy with his performance to date, he sguided the crusaders nicely as always, they were ambushed by the blues after having a baffling 2 byes to begin the seasonw with & were unlucky against a canes team who scrapped through by the skin of their teeth, but his displays against the bulls he was at his clinical best.
cruden is wdiely regarded as NZs best attacking flyhalf, but carter is still IMO the best all round flyhlaf & his loss i huge for the crusaders SA tour.

no offence to ur sharks, but i still dont regard them as a threat, as long as the crusaders dont under estimate them, they will easily dispose of them & they wont even need carter for that job.
sharks put on a wicked display against the rebels, but thats like being impressed with a sour tasting lolipop, big whoop.

the stormers on the other hand, now thats going to be a tough ask, i still expect the crusaders to just win, but i wouldnt be surprised to see them lose, even if they did have carter.

stormers were one of my picks at the start of the season & IMO theres a storm brewing big time & SA clubs are not the only ones at risk.
they got of to a shaky start, but slowly and ever so surely, they are starting to pick up momentum into the category A class narutral disaster they can be for any team in the comp.
i still think they nhave useless attack, but their defensive game & the stars that implrment that game, make them very capable of winning that elusive spXV title.
im still picking th stoprmers to finish No1 by the end of the round robin season.

would be interesting to see if ezebteh returns this week, i doubt it as theres been zero news about him at all lately, normally a stars return is forseen a few weeks earlier???
no big loss IMO, cos bekker is the form lock by a country mile, i would rather the crusaders face the stormers with ezebeth & no bekker, then with bekker and no ezebeth, hes in some killer form at the moment.

fantasy picks were very hard this week, funny that u should mention messam, cos both messam & coetzee were on my short list, but i opted to get rid of coetzee who then goes on to score a try, FFS, o_O
rebels will do better against the cheetahs then they did against the sharks, but they should still lose & lose quite easily.
i dont know what it was with those rebels, but thats the worst performance ive seen from an OZ team this year.

have used half my transfers in fantasy rugby already, so i gotta be smart with my selections from now on, only the barest of esentials,,,maybe i will even buy a transfer or two, LMAO, :oP
