Watching the tournament at the Durban CC, reminds me again what a delightful course that is. What's the hotel scene like in Durbs these days....anything interesting?

The best hotels are at present not in the city itself - but in Umhlanga and Zimbali. There is a Hilton Hotel next to Kingsmead cricket ground. The Royal Hotel is closed down and the Edward has gone back appreciably.
Zimbali has 2 Hotels - the Zimbali Lodge and the Fairmont. I would try the last two Hotels - really classy and the environment is magnificent. The latter hotels are with in a 15 minute drive away from the new airport.

Thanks Mike, if it's like the Fairmont in San Francisco, that should be a nice option. Maybe I'll come and visit you one of these days.

It is the same owners and there are a very limited number of Fairmont hootels world wide - I think about 12 or 14.
You are most welcome to come to Natal and I will take you and your wiif to the game reserves and St Lucia as well.

Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Park is better then the one in StLucia...Allthough StLucia is a kwaai plek to celebrate a new year.
