Now, mental problems is no joke, but then some people use it to make excuses for their behaviour.

He is a really talented player, but if you ask me, also become very entitled and believe he should be the first pick.

He didn’t hang around at the sharks, then, when on tour disappeared in Dublin and was hanging out with his mates. He also went awol during the bulls campaign. Kicking back on his dads sofa.

The bulls went to great lengths to find him and ensure his recovery.  Now, he players for the Workd 15 score 2 tries and all of sudden it’s the bulls at fault.

This guy needs to wake up and smell the coffee. Stop being entitled black fragile that can’t handle criticism.

The sooner he leaves SA the better. He thinks his holiday, playing in an exhibition game is the way the professional world works.

The sooner the bulls dump this toxic person, the better.

Rugby doesn’t have room for attitudes

I would cancel his contract or like for a transfer.

He should go to France and learn what it is really like. Jake White suggested the same, although, I've not been happy with Jake's man management.

It's not a good look, and an attack on people who really don't deserve it. Some people with mental health problems become too entrenched to be helped , and vilify everything and everyone around them.

As a player, he had a good bit of form in 2019. Aside from that, he was very patchy. His defensive work was often poor, and his work rate has more often than not been weak. He has potential, but only he can realise that. I would classify him as one of those players who have been quite fortunate to stay on the scene as long as they have! If rugby had the intellectual and analytical capacity of the NFL, he would have been weeded out years ago.

Blaming mental health is just far too easy these days....
It seems to be the go to excuse for some people, to prevent other people from holding them responsible.
Bollocks I say

To be fair I did wonder why stupid Jake was not selecting him, much like him not selecting the likes of Similane, Jacques du Plessis and Nqoboko And the Bulls wonder why they have slipped as they have Queue Jake the man who has piss poor management skills and keeps fucking up his selections

I can see what Jake is trying to do ensuring players are more flexible and can play in any position in the backline. I remember way back when, Jaco Pretorius had a stellar season at 13 and was shredding up all defenses. Then finally got selected for the boks but only played on the wing.
Jakes argument was that after the first phase, positions becomes irrelevant.
Jake likes to put players into a box sometimes, but you can't say the likes of Kriel, Moodie and Arendse suffered from his selection.
The season is long and players may need to fill a hole. Robert Du Preeze is playing at 13 for Sale and Jean Luke is at 4 for them.
We had Hougaard on the wing for many years.
So it is not uncommon.
Maybe Sbu couldn't get the message.
We see Dobbo praising blommetjies who is happy to get on the field. Doesn't care if it's for the Currie cup or Stormers.
I sensed the same attitude when Sbu got dropped for Kolbe. Doesn't take it well when the coach selects another player over him.

Who knows what’s going on in the Guy,s head….he is a loose canon at the moment…..he is not Focused at all and humble either, otherwise none of this shyte would be happening in the first place….he would just be playing Rugby and honing his skills.

If you get on the wrong side of Jake White he puts you in the dog box.

I saw Andre Snyman on TV laughing about working with Jake White. Snyman was the first to call Jake the Snake.

Snyman says Jake has his favourites and the rest of the players are just in the team to fill spaces. White worships his favourite players, and treats the rest as disposable assets.

Jake rewards professionalism and production. He even sat one of his best players and good friend Schalk Burger out. The feely types in South Africa don't like this. Such as the little snowflakes in Durban who felt he wasn't kind enough, soft enough. Whereas the Aussies, who are far more emotionally mature and professional than South Africans thrived under him. It's a matter of attitude.

Sbu...told ya'll at the time...a doos. It's entitlement that makes you bite the hand that feeds you. Mixed with good amount of low IQ. We don't need him, never have. Does he even crack the nod for a top 10 winger in SA.

I think too many people want to avoid any confrontation by not agreeing with the "Mental Health" assumption or diagnoses because they don't want to be the next cancelled person to call something or someone out, when they see bullshit for what it is

It's fucking ridiculous

Being an drug addict, alci, abuser...they're all mental health issues. Why are some held above others? Screw that guy man. If he's got a broken brain then he should sort it out and his family should help him do so. He's always had a kak attitude.

Ahead or Arendse, Kolbe, Moodie, Mapimpi, Fassi? ...not for me. Would I have him at 12 ahead of DDA? Probably. See how I keep bringing it back, Saffex haha

There are real people out there that needs protection from themselves. Those who can’t cope in society. But, they are often the most undesirable and aggressive. I mate of mine was working in a mental institution. He came to to the end of his long shift, when he felt something warm run down his leg.

One of the patients snuck up and started pissing on him.

Where as Sbu needs to catch a wake up. We have become overly acceptable

"Where as Sbu needs to catch a wake up. We have become overly acceptable"

100% kingcorn....

It is just far too easy to blame things on mental health these days, knowing that a lot of people will not say anything publicly to avoid any potential backlash.

Fuck me, if the "youngsters" of today had to deal with a lot of the shit that most of us grew up with, they would never cope...

Jake fires back. I agree everything Jake said

Speaking during a Bulls media conference on Thursday, White told reporters: “He’s a talented player but I’m very disappointed with what he wrote on social media. He knows that I’ve had a meeting with him.

“Considering the Bulls let him go and play in a game overseas… to read the comments he made was obviously disappointing.

“He’s got to make decisions [about his future], he’s a big boy now. He’s got to make decisions about where he wants to go, and it’s not always in anyone else’s hands other than the player.

“At this point in time, he’s not playing well enough, he’s not training hard enough, I don’t see him enough for him to warrant selection above guys who have been training in the group anyway.

“It’s not for me to discuss a guy’s future; as I said he’s a big boy now, a World Cup-winning Springbok – he must make decisions about where he wants to be and make sure those decisions are in the best interests of himself and the club.”
