As a mentor yes. Erasmus used him for about 10 minutes in 1 of the 9 tests played this year and it was not really successful.
Don't see how he can ad value, we have a geriatric in the team. Why don't just hire him as a consultant instead wasting a spot in our wc squad on a player that can't offer anything in the future

“He’s in the same category as a Bismarck in terms of experience. He knows a lot of the English players well. We can only learn from him.
“Apart from being experienced he’s also a quality player. Two weeks ago he still won a Premiership. He’s pretty much on the ball.”

Erasmus is a great admirer of Meyer and his geriatric selections - so he must at least have one example to pay tribute to the Meyer era. There were plenty useless geriatric selections by Meyer - Brits is no worse than those.
Victor was the best lock in Super rugby upon his return from retirement, and outclassed Lood in the World Cup. What can be said for Brits? He could potentially be selected ahead of Mbonambi. Were Mbonambi not black, he may never be a consideration at all!

In your dreamworld the game of rugby becomes a farce. Matfield played some games in Super Rugby in 2014 and was a failure in all of those with positive contributions to losses. He was a total disaster in the Japan fiasco - where De Jager at least scored a try. He was after that never used as a starting lock until the Bronze play-off match against the Argentina "B" team. So where and how did he outplay De Jager? Try again - this effort is too funny to be a farce,
NO - my assessment of the game plan of Meyer - if indeed there was one - is an exact replica of the Bulls game plan in 2004. There was in fact no variation from that plan - so we must assume that the scrummie passing to the flyhalf of less than 25% of the balls he passed was a new Meyer invention/
