Schalk Burger is likely to miss the Springboks’ June Test series against England.
According to Die Burger, the Stormers captain is set to be sidelined until July because of a knee injury, which will see him miss the Boks’ three Tests against the Poms on 9, 16 and 23 June.
Burger tore medial ligaments in his knee during the Stormers’ first-round fixture against the Hurricanes at Newlands. Head coach Allister Coetzee believed that the 29-year-old would recover from the injury by 12 May (for the team’s match against the Cheetahs), but reports have revealed that his knee will take another month and a half to heal.
He has to be ready for the final part of the Super comp!
