Plum crazy!! Typically the stast show we get twice as many yellows as the asb do when we play them. The rest of the penaliseable offence stats I guess would be roughly the same.It would have to be very unusual and unexpected to see us get even a remotely fair deal.
We are also fielding the papest lock ever to play international rubgy. So our tight five is severely compromised. We have a scrummie determined to kick away our possession as well.
So Boks by 5. So much depends on how bent/incompetent the ref is actually that no reasonable assessment can be made.

Yes, infringements usually lead to penalties & even yellow or red cards. So, the question is can the Boks be disciplined enough ? Will the refs now Bow down to Bok Bleating (BBB) & let the Boks get away with foul play? We will see, I predict some will claim a (RAW)

Hey CC i was trying to smooth the way.
My reasoning.
2 Cards for ABs: Have noticed that the game immediately following one with poor calls against the Boks, the ref seems to be mandated to overcompensate in the opposite direction.
Score: Very few tries due to crap conditions. If anything the boks will score from a line-out drive. Roughly five to seven penalties each, also mainly due to poor conditions, with maybe 2 missed by each kicker. Naturally the ABs might score from just about anywhere.
Obviously i am basing all of this on two things. 1) Wishful thinking and 2) pure unadulterated science

I give the All Blacks a 70% chance of winning and the Boks 30% chance. I think the score is going to be Alll Blacks 30, Springboks 20.
South Africa may be the only team to be able to beat the ABS in New Zealand at the moment, but it is still a long shot.
The All Blacks lineout might be the biggest area to take advantage on as Whitefield is not out.

My heart says the Boks are able to and might just sneak a win here, but the r eality is probably NZ by 10+ even if the Boks play well. With a rook at 10? Don't know what HM is smoking.

Why would the All Blacks lineout be the target if "Whitefield" isn't out?
I can't believe you guys are so confident of a Bok victory. We scrape past Wales with the aid of the ref ... should have lost the second match to Argentina ... lost to the Ozzies and now we're gonna whip the All Blacks and that with Pienaar and Lood in the mix.
Am I missing something here?

Basically a scrap in the rain and mud where penalties are bulk of the score and i think the ref is gonna be all out on SA's side. Hence my crazy prediction. Of course it's a shot in the dark.

naaaaaaaaah, the boks are going to be completely anihilated even considering the bad weather conditions. With good conditions it would be a slaughter.
When the boks are unable to impose their forward pack they are lost and this is what's going to happen. The AB over the last years usually managed to get over the boks' scrums and lineouts superiority and win (sometimes even comfortably) so imagine what can happen when there's no such superiority....
On saturday the AB will impose themshelves in the scrums against a tired props' pair that was blown away by the pumas front row and a weak lock in the likes of the old wee Matfield.
The boks are very lucky that Whitelock is injured, his lineouts' mastery will be missed and probably this set piece will be contested, otherwise the AB's superiority in the set pieces would be overwhelming and traduced in the backline running riot.
Won't be so much but the forward pack will provide enough good ball to the backline for a confortable win considering that the halves pair, a totally out of form Pienaar and a rookie who made tons of mistakes against the argies, will kick every ball they get easying the counter attacks and the victory.
32-9 for the AB; 4 tries to nil

Would love to have FDP working with Pollard, but nevertheless Boks by 5 especially if it is wet and slippery.
Also think the Argies win by a similar margin. I expect the forward pack to be able to completely dominate set pieces and possession and think McKenzie is missing a trick not having Beale and Foley on the pitch together.

just my opinion, what happens is that IMO the boks have no options at
all. I understand that it hurts but it's a lot more realistic than
thinking that the boks are going to win for the first time since 2009 in
NZ.
This is the worst bok side I've seen in years. The selection is
wrong, the fitness of some of their members is very doubtful, the tactic
(unlike last year) is kicking away all the balls that the halves get
(even against the pumas at home), the coach is lost,....
if they've been unable to beat the AB at home in the last 5 years I cannot see how this year they can be even close to the AB

Me too Cloudy, I predict a close game, ABs by 5. Boks are going to be riled up, their pride is hurt, they are over jet-lag & the weather predicted is rain, etc.
Abs have a few injuries (playing 2nd and 3rd stringers) but as they are fielding a good team that is no real excuse. Probably 1 or 2% drop in performance. So this is why I think it will be close.
Will the ref be influenced by the Boks incessant Bleatings (BIBs) & let the Boks get away with foul play? We will see, I predict more BIBS & claims of a RAW

Yeah, lets put our money on the second favourite but in rugby there are only 2....you can either win or lose...in horse racing second favourites are good bets but rugby they can only lose....hahahaha.

It's one of those predictions where all the odds are against the boks. We lack quality in Key areas and don't have a daunting pack to dominate the AB's. My prediction is as follows
Head: AB's by 8Heart: Boks by 1
To re-iterate
Key Match-ups
Tight 5 - All blacks shades this one
Backrow - Evens, Mcaw and Low are even, Read may pip Vermeulen and the Coetzee and Latua are even. Latua is a great ball carrier where Coetzee is more of tackler and forager.
9 - 10 (Second five 8?) - AB's take this one, Pienaar has been poor, Smith are streets ahead. Pollard needs a few more seasons, Bauden Barrret is extremely pacey for a 10 and has more caps. If we had Du Preez or Reinardt we would be close.
Centers (Even, De Villiers pips Nonu who is a yellow card liability, Serfontein actually made the most line breaks against Aus last week. Just need to get his distribution right)
Back Three (Boks - Savea and Hendriks are great finishers but tend to disappear, Willie pips Dag only creativity and getting the back three going. Habana will want to make up for last week and has an extremely high work ethic. Expect him to pop up around the fringes)

Previously you forecasted a win by the AB's - now a win by the Springboks. Are you splitting your bets?
I want to clean up this wekend on the Superbru competition and forcasts a win by the Argentinians and by the Springboks on that competition - but I really do not believe the present team - with baggage like Matfield and Ruan Pieaar in the mix has any winning chances at all.

I understand what you are saying Wardad. I am way more exited about the Bokke v ABs Saturday than the Wallabies Argie game. Wallabies being off the boil for a while now has taken the shine off Bledisloes somewhat. Its like an old marriage that is going through a rough patch. Hopefully we can get the love back. I still say ABs by 12 but I wont know who I will be supporting until the kickoff. Torn.
