Scots played the better rugby
Must of been watching a different match. Scotland defended very well and bravely but didn't offer much in the way of a attack. Despite not playing particularly well Ireland got well on top in the 2nd half and created several scoring opportunities but couldn't covert. Had a try disallowed and missed penalty. Dominated nearly all of the stats as well.
Scrums are apart of the game of rugby so you can't just exclude the scrum to make the opposition look better.
As for the try I've seen them given. Frustratingly there was one camera angle that clearly showed no separation before the grounded but it was only shown once during the replays and less conclusive angles where shown multiple time but that's rugby for you some time. Guess you could possibly argue there was no downward pressure.
Maybe other teams are starting to work Ireland out. Hard to tell in two games. I've no qualms in saying England where the better team last week and deserved to win, but in my view Ireland where comfortably the better team yesterday and deserved winners.
The Scotts ball in hand stuff and handling was next level, yet errors in that same handling killed a feww good moves...I'm glad Scotland stood toe to toe with Ireland and almost came away with a win...nit many teams around these days who can achieve these kinda results in Irelab
Not really, Scotts made a lot of handling errors and poor passing. Tried to play to much from their own half. It was one moment of brilliance from Jones. Ireland has gone off the boil and no Sexton. I don't think that they have been playing really well. That said, the games with England have been entertaining
