After going through a well known medium, who is also part of the current Springbok set up, I was able to reach Danie Craven.
Danie was a bit breathless, because apparently all he does in the spirit world is make dive passes to Tony Harris, who is also up there. But I was able to engage Danie in an hour and a half discussion about the Bok set up.
Danie was effusive about Willie and Faf....liked the looks of Kitshoff....said with Etzebeth and Marx he would never have lost to New Zealand.
He was dumbfounded how a lock, playing flank, positioned on the left wing worked....I think his comment was: 'you can't be serious'.
He did offer to get hold of Louis Babrow who is still practicing medicine upstairs, to teach Allende the basics of tackling.....then said we'd be better off with a Jew actually in the Bok team. 'Where is Nomis when we need him' said Danie.
He was politically correct about players of colour and said he might actually have picked Dyantyi for the 37 team. While he generally favoured counter rucking to fetching which he described as 'hands in the scrum nonsense', he did opine that Kolisi looked more like a slow centre than a flank.
Danie described Rassie as a 'gawe kerel' but said he might be too nice for his own good. He particularly seemed shocked that the Boks could lose twice to Wales in one year 'met hulle kort bene'.
.........
There were many other random thoughts, but those were the key observations from the Master Coach.

We should add Malherbe who seems to have strong views on selection.

I'll admit this Tokkie ....your discussion with Malherbe is more likely than my seance with Danie, but I prefer what Danie said.
