It is not really a surprise. We have been beating NZ quite often in recent years. It is Fiji that has been having our number. Having said that, we have to remember that there are major differences between our 15s and 7s sides. Our 7s side is littered with world class players who would walk straight into any international 7s side. And then they have a very professional and knowledgeable coach with a proven track record who knows what he is doing. Our 15s has....... well...... our current 15s players and Toetie and co.

Dropping 15 in favour of 7 could be a temporary solution. A seven squad is only 12 players. So it is much less costy to maintain than a 15 squad that might be 30 players.

"Dropping 15 in favour of 7............". Careful with that crap that you are smoking mate. All of the sevens players have their roots in the 15 man code. Forget about the numbers involved,  killing off the 15 man code will eventually kill the sevens as well. But then again,  going but what you often say,  that is what you have been proposing for some time now,  isn't it. Killing off rugby,  that is.

Here's a simple truth. Having a competent coach makes a massive difference. England under a competent coach and the Boks under incompetent coaching are a great example. Two teams with similar talent and a similar playing style producing very different results. But the fact that you have a poor coach, that your team is losing, doesn't have to result in you playing awful rugby.....losing your personal battle with an opponent. It wasn't poor coaching that had Combrink gift the Poms a try, or Stephanie being dummied a second time, or Jantjies being monstered by the Roman. That comes down to the individual and the players we chose included many cowardly, inept players.

Himmel - can you only mention Du Toit and none of the othe r players - are you jealous or besotted?
Cowards have been selected and that include Alberts and a string of has beens, as well as some really incompetent selections.   But they are mostly players you thump all the time and I can write a long list of those.

 Woosh....Really?
Thought Mike had it spot-on in saying "A real surprise beating New Zealand 40-0..."
The point is the surprise 40- drubbing...not the beating of NZ.
Woosh yourself.

The way the BB side has been on the up and how the NZ 7s side has been slipping in recent times only made it a matter of time before the BBe put 40+ on them.  Bear in mind that they,  the ABs, also got a 20-12 klap by Aus. Aus,  in turn got a 21-12 hiding from Wales,  who were snotklapped by SA to the tune of 36-5. Perspective,  mate,  perspective.

Well I was hoping for a bit of integrity after he made a right royal Dik of himself...my bad for getting my hopes up I suppose.
Look it's not like the issue is a train smash but what gets me is how he demands and shrieks for apologies and paints himself as a paragon of virtue, it's always someone else digging himself a hole, it's always someone else who's at fault Nyaah Nyaah Nyaaah.......in this case it's him heading to the centre of the Earth instead of just waving the white flag finish and klaar so we'll all move on.
He's certainly added a new meaning to the word...perspective.

You two clowns are really trying your best to look like two really t!ts.

Look at the title. Ou CleverTrevor tried to create the imporession that it was all down to the coach that saw the result of that game. I then tried to show the stupid prcik that while we have a world class coach we also have a side that is, and I quote ".....littered with world class players who would walk straight into any international 7s side.....", meaning that it was not only down to the coach alone. That, you two laimbrained stooges, was what I was trying to say and which none of you noticed, hence the "woosh". Now p!ss off and go find some toys or something to play with.

Hell the idiot is stupid and getting more idiotic every time he appeared on this site.   You tried to criticize my comments without even understanding what the intention was in starting the thread.    You are too stupid to teach anybody anything - especially not about the game of rugby of which you are totally ignorant.

Ag FFS you stupid idiot, I did not do anything of the sort. I did not even fecking disagree with you about the abilities of the coach but you are to thick to even notice that. Just because you were too stupid not to expect a result like that at some stage, given the circumstances, does not mean that everybody else has to have a share in your ignorance, except if there is a rule somewhere that says that everybody on this forum has to be as thick as you are.

Stupid moron - I was surprised by the size of the win - not the win per se.   That shows you hope bloody idiotic you are.
You are  a good one to write about stupidity - nobody ever has been constantly as stupid on this site as you are - never has been and never will be.
Now keep quiet and run back to the Kakgat where you normally dwell.

Says the one who often disappears from threads. Once again, I wasn't rubbishing what you were saying, I was actually adding to what you were saying but you were too thick to understand that. In fact, you are still not getting it. In addition, and once again, just because it came as a surprise to your foggy brain, does it also mean that it has to surprise me as well. Geez, some people really have varkkots for brains.

Listen Ceradyne, it appears that I've punctured a raw nerve in you going by your response, but here's the thing, if you're going to slagg off,as a small favour can I ask you not to brutalize the English language?..
Like what the Fc## is... look like two really t!ts??? really t!ts Bwhahahahaha that's a new one
and then this...."That, you two laimbrained ...try lamebrained
then this ....tried to create the imporession...Huh?
You're a grownup boy, please do not embarrass yourself any further.
I understand that you can't take the plaas out of the Japie but then don't carry on as if  you're smart when it's been proven that you're a dumb self righteous and arrogant Plaasjapie.

Giving up on 15 in favour of 7 was called a temporary solution for a reason.

Ending 15 rugby now is nothing else but taking willingfully a decision that will be forced tomorrow.

There is no reason to continue with 15 rugby in SA: it makes the country poorer, not richer. It is not a tradition. It has no popular base (far from it). It causes national tension. It brings no prestige as SA rugby is loser rugby. And more.
People on this board have failed so far to provide one single cause to keep going with 15.

The reluctancy comes from professionals living off the activity. Like commentators. As ending 15 rugby deprives them of events and reduces their level of activity.

That is all. 15 rugby is a burden on the shoulders of a country that does not need that kind of stuff.
