Jordie Barrett at 12 could transform the ABs. Huge boot, physicality, offloading….playmaker smarts. Having seen him at 12 it seems so obvious. Havili is a decent player, but not a dominant one.

CC made this point in a posting but it’s worth elevating to it’s own topic….Barrett with the pace of Ioane outside him could be devastating. Look at these backline numbers:

B BarrettFB064251200W JordanW0491192400R IoaneC034981500J BarrettC0917810740C ClarkeW0096302
This has the makings of a dominant AB backline going into the WC. Barrett beats 7 tackles, makes 4 offloads and gains 81 metres. What numbers!
Watching the ABs yesterday there was an urgency to keep the ball alive….our chaps are programmed to take the tackle and set the ruck. It’s a vast coaching difference that explains everything.

Different culture... different skillsets... the Blockies can't see opportunities and even their best players for passing cant do it functionally. You gotta work with what you have and you just ain't got it. Blame Erasmus.. give him the boot... bring a new face in and it'll go one of two ways... they play to the strengths of the players and you have the same stuff repackaged or they try to reinvent the wheel and it all turns to mega shit (coetzee). The Blockies will NEVER be able to play like the Kiwis or any other good attacking team... they don't have the ability.

Good post Mozart, I agree completely. It is a bit disturbing that F oster only seems to make good selection choices when injuries force him to do so, e.g. the front row of the ABs.

The AB's play 15 man attacking rugby which is a pleasure to watch.

The Springboks still play boring forwards type rugby.

It would be interesting to know the stats regarding just how many tries are scored by the forwards of the two teams as opposed to the backlines.

You make a valid point UDDER.

Must ask once more what are those three "Bloated Warriors" supposed to represent prior to the Springboks taking to the field.

Actually embarrassing as they represent zero to rugby or the people of SA.

If you wish to show the world exactly what the so called "Locals" have done for SA turn the lights off for starters.

Be real.

Where Did made how many meters, passed kicks etc?

Justwin, agree that injuries this time help in AB selections, pretty much the same for the Boks until the better option got injured.
