I am developing more and more serious doubts as to that center pairing. It does niot look good for the two of them.

He never really made an impact. He rarely passed the ball and lost possession of the ball twice in crucial situations. Managed to miss takcles as well and gave away a crucial penalty as well.
No better than Francois Steyn is if the performances thus far this year are borne in mind. That means failure.
Engelbrecht
Only got one ball to run with and was tackled well - but then did the unforgivable and hang onto the ball giving away a penalty. Made some good tackles - some medium ones and missed one completely.
Was rather invisible during the game and that does not make him a potential Springbok center
