I remarked on this a few days ago.....and right in cue  an old article from Keo pops up among the most read pieces on SARugby Mag, making the same point. Basically that dismissing the discipline and drive White tried to instill was fundamentally saying that a winning record was less important than having a good time.
Hopefully these are the current Sharks leaders trying to figure out what went wrong.

Jake White is a good coach, except for backline attack where like many of SA coaches has no clue. I thought with his time with the Brumbies and Stephen Larkham he would have learnt more on this.
If Jake White coached the Barbarians, I wonder how expansive he would play.

Like another hole in the head.   Jake was fired by Sharks and Montpellier not for wanting to instill discipline as alleged by the coke expert \but because he was clueless as a coach. He wantedto play 10 man rugby and did not accept that the limp approach in the end leads to disaster,   A low point in the case of the history of the Sharks.

And they haven’t got to a semi final since.

A low point in the case of the history of the Sharks.

"The Sharks were quick to dismiss Springbok World Cup-winning coach White in 2014 after an eight-month stint that realised the winning of the South African conference, a first ever win against the Crusaders in Christchurch, a first ever back-to-back triumph in New Zealand and three away wins in four Australasian tour starts."
Yes, what a low point.

They were in the 2012 final after disaster struck in 2013.   Firing a coach is when he is not meeting requirements on all fronts and lets face it White was fired.

Yeah right. Like White was basically fired immediately after winning the RWC.

Jake was fired after the WC because Meyer wanted to be coach and they engineered the dismissal of White co-ordinated the dismissal of White in liaison with the Cheetahs and a concoction of minor unions controlled by Cheeky Watson.
Then the worst happened - the Bulls failed to get Meyer elected as coach - because the Jake-supporting unions got miffed with the BS tactics of the Bulls,   In any event since 2008 we only had BS coaches with the worst being Coetzee and Meyer.
That is what really happened with the firing of Jake as Bok coach.   He did not deserve such treatment - but he was fired.   Jake always had two problems relating to poor human relationships - he was a typical school headmaster who bullied the staff, the children, his superiors and had a fixation with favourites.
Poor human relationship and a superiority complex caused White's demise at both the Sharks and Montpellier.   This was augmented by his total ignorance on the issue of backline play.   The situation became worse because both Meyer and Coetzee have the same deficiency.
The latter deficiency White tried to overcome by calling in Eddie Jones to help him.    He had the support og Larkham at the Sharks - at the Sharks he had no backline assistance - end of story.

The usual ducking and diving after you have been shown up. An entire essay of irrelevant BS to try and make your balls up go away.
