Yes as Jaque Botes so rightly obseved there had been a momentum switch and the game saw the sharkies hanging on for dear life at the end.

Now oaks get all excited and say how wonderful the sharks loose trio were. Yes it was good to see Alberts at last playing some rubgy and marcell is certainly putting his hand up.(I would play him Bok number 8) However those lacking rugby acument will not have noticed that life was made easy due to the lack of SA Player of the year Schalk Burger and of course the world class Duane Vermuelen. Yet dispite the massive impact to such great plaeyrs made the Stormers bossed the possession stats 54 to 46%! Jebb Sinclair is way out of his depth.

The Stormers of course need to be more accurate come lineout times and as  I have often said aganst better Nevertheless it as good to see the 20 year old Kitshoff driving ou jannie back on more than one occassion. In fact the much vaunted sharks scrumming superiority amounted to very little on the day.

Much is being made of the forward pass try by Aplon. However the try by Movov was als no try as his foot had very clearly touched the line. What may not of registered with the oaks however is that Duvenage caught Mvovo from behind. How fast is Mvovo really?  So these two errors canell eachother out.

The key moment in the game was the knock on by Deon Fourie when he was over the tryline. Had he scored we would surely have won this away match. The two penalties Jean turned down would not have been turned and the Stormers could well have won by 8 points.

The Fourie try would have made it three tries all as well. The Aplon try was well worked as was the Deon Fouire - if it had come off. We are talking about small margins of error.

So the Shakies can feel quite fortunate that they played an understrength Stormers pack missing two world class players. No person with any rugby acument can doubt the result if those two had been playing.

Mishalak showed up Grants limitations and the lack of real creativity again showed up Alistair and Flecks backline coaching credentials. Stormers have to beat the bulle now. After the tests series both Kostner an Schalk should be back and hopefully shortly thereafter Duane as well. Once back to full strength, as the sharks were for this match, no SA side will beat them simply because the Stormers pack is too good.

I do note the chest beating of some bulle on another board. They went into orgasmic spasms of delight because the Stormers lost - real bad hateful stuff. These oaks quite forgot they lost to the Chiefs and of course dont realise they have a trip to durbs as well. Bwahahahahahahahahahahahaha. Dispite the stormers being s obad the yare still top ofthe SA Conference oaks - so suck it up just suck it up!

As for da Aristocat his calls on Lambie and Bissie (he never poaches a ball!!!) must be givng him bad dreams. Come on Card admit you called these two wrong.

Meanwhile the sapster is highly embarrassed, or should be, for imagining chilli boy is remotely in the class of Adriaan Stauss!! Hahhahahahahahahaha lots of laughs this weekend.

No bleats please oaks accept the facts as they plainly stand.

Hi Beeno1

I see you said Mvovo's try was a non-try, if that is the case why didnt the slow motion replay show it and why didn't the video ref rule against it ?. I think there are not many who would agree with you. I thought you were a Sharky fan ??

If i was to give my assesment, i would say the Stormers were completely outclassed and the Stormers scored a try of a terrible pass and through a forward pass. Both have more an element of luck than anything . The Stormers Tried really hard and i felt for them. But it was men against Boys. Aplon is a star though , he really tried hard.

Well Plumtree, besides the Jaque Botes comments, said once the Stormers got their lineout  working we saw how dangerous they were. We got stronger as the game went on and like Jaque Botes said at the end the sharks were hanging on. With Shalk and Duane back it would have been a comfortable Stormers win. Despite a decimated backrow we were still in it big time.

Deon Fourie dropping the ball over the sharks goal line was all that won the game for the sharks!

I looked carefully at the replay and it was clear tome Mvovo's foot touched the line.. hence two bad calls that cancelled eachother out.

Go Stormers!

As usual in Sa if a saide looses by a point they are uselss and the side winning great Bwahahahhaha

I am a Stormers supporter RG!!

agreed schala and co will make a difference.

Real concern for the stormers wasn't the back row.  the tight five were bullied by the sharks. from a bok point of view I was really disappointed with stormers second row - went missing (esp bekker) and couldnt put it together

Dont think Jebb Sinclair is out of his depth. has good credentials. thought he did pretty well cleaning up bad ball at the back of the scrum.

Sharks were better team on the night - despite talk of small margins of error.

Its pathetic how you mention if this one played or that one played, you would have won. The fact is the Stormer got hammered up front and that cost the game. Even Etsebeth and Bekker were sorted out by their opposite numbers. The Sharks were far superior .....admit it.

I cant recall Sharks fans whining after the first game against the Stormers that they would have won if Alberts, Deysel, Kanko, Beast etc etc were playing!!

Beeno1, you are a poor sport.

Sharks won the game, no question about that. Part of the game is dealing with injuries, and having the depth to deal with it.

But, As a Stormers fan, I can take away knowing 5 pretty darn good players weren't in the lineup, and we still gave the Sharks a good go on their home turf.

Blue 2 the Stormers won 54 % possession and got stronger as the game progressed. Buliied by the sharks - hahahahahahahahahahahaha dream on. The sharks were about out for the count at the end and hanging on for a win as Jaque Botes said. The fight about knocked out of them.

Sorry blue 2 I like to deal in facts not delusions and hot air. The fact are simply that this game could easily have been won by the Stormers. The key moment was Deon loosing the ball over the sharks goal line. Had we scored then we would have won the match.  End of story.

My point re Schalk and Duane and us fielding an inferior loose trio is a fact. Schalk and Duane are two of the most physical loose forwards in world rugby and I have maintained for some time we need them badly for the big games. Never mind Kostner, Kolis and Carr. With those two added to the pack the Sharks would have been gobbled up. Fact. Their loose trio would have suffered from the uneven contest - fact.

Now wee daniels is being touted as a Bok number 8 - Bwahahahahahahhahahahahahahaha talk about stupidity and drawing silly conclusions. There simply is so little understanding of the game these days.

Beeno keeping the record very straight.
