I think the backline in fact chooses themselves:-

15   Viljoen

14   Pietersen

13   Jordaan

12   Bosman

11   Sithole

10   Lambie

 9    Reinach

The problem is bound to be the bench.    I would say McCleod, but who else?  Steyn is unfit and slow - so Plumtree should consider some Vodacom players for the remaining two places on the bench.   Hopefully Whithead's return is not too far away.

Maybe Roedolelf Straulie can make a personalized book camp(Camp Staalstraad) for Steyn to lose some weight. I would rather swop Pieterson with Jordaan -who is smaller and faster.

Bosman is crap but he at least is a link passer if anything else so he does not stiffle the backline like Fat Steyn does

Ag kak man, get rid of the useless ineffective Bosman at 12, play Frans at 12 where he belongs. Move the small Jordaan to wing and play JP at 13.

Viljoen at 15 is an issue as he is poor but they have little option.

15. Viljoen 14. Jordaan 13. JP 12. Frans 11. Sithole 10. Lambie 9. Reinch is the way to go

The weirdo has spoken.  I think we must change the backline according to speed norms and fitness norms - so I suggest play Coetee at 12 and do not forget that Steyn is not fit and he is definitely as so slow that the whole backline would be out of gear.  Useless at present - he needs to be fit to be playing anywhere.  It beats me hollow - I have never in my life heard that a player who is not fit and lacks speed can play at center - must be a first ever in anybody's life.

Oh so now I am a weirdo, suppose that beats the hell out of an ignorant liar. Actually there is a way around the average Viljoen. The Sharks should promote the impressive Baby Bok, Tyler Fisher to the starting 15 at 13. He is currently playing Vodacom Cup rugby. One has to get rid of useless players like Bosman and Viljoen in order to move on.

Look here you ignorant twit, Frans has plenty of pace for a 12, he is fast enough for fullback, but my call is that a side should have out and out pace at 15. Frans does not have out and out pace, just like Ludik and Viljoen dont.

The Sharks backline should be: 15. JP 14. Jordaan 13. Fisher 12. Frans 11. Sithole 10. Lambie 9. Reinach.....that excludes passegers and pretenders like Bosman and Viljoen

Saffex

Talking about passengers - in his present form Steyn is a passenger.   I do not think Plumtree will take anohther chance with him at full back.

I hope we can have a look at Tyler soon - especially since we do not have enough performing centers at present.

There are two passengers in the Sharks backs at present, they are Bosman and Jordaan. Bosman is just not 15 standard and Jordaan must not play 13 as he lack physicality. He is a good little player that now needs to concentrate on playing on the wing.

Ndungane is injured which is a blessing as he was bloody ueless. Exposed for lack of speed on a number of ocassions. Viljoen must not start for the Sharks, he is poor
