Good call Denny
Oi, Redneck, I guess you going to credit Kaplan for this Sharks victory, eh???? Your one-eyed support and poor sportmanship was quite evident mate and I think that justice has been very well served today because we have a Kiwi- Saffa final loooming and so it should be....no wannabee pretenders here mate!!!!
Kaplan was'nt that good, but the Sharks played the best rugga of the w/e and deserved to win.
Redsman you fool! Sharks brilliant defence won the game, not Kaplan.
Redsman supports his team. Always next year Redsman.
Redsman
Don't blame Kaplan for the defeat - the better team won today. Kaplan awarded a lot of penalties to the Reds for trsnsgressions and less to the Sharks. However, I said in advance that the Reds do not have the fire power to beat the Sharks - and that is the end of the story. The Reds were beaten both on attak and defence - they had no chance of winning - so that is the end of the story..
You must also write to your nu,mber 8 to play rugby - this nis not a boxing rink
I know that you are disappointed - but please be reasonable and look at the game objectively.
Kaplan competing with Brycy for notoriety Red. Pretty smooth operator giving his Durban team the win. So much for impartiality having a yarpie ref reffing his homeside my friend but don't mention cheating cause Bean Brain and not so Clever Mike will say bad sportsmanship even though other teams cheating is all they talk about . Funny as these yarpies
Brycy, you ignorant prick. Here is a meaning of the word "Japie" that you love to throw around but cant spell properly:
This term is often used as a derogatory term for Caucasian South Africans by the British or people of former British Colonies such as Australia and New Zealand. It appears to have been derived from the Dutch term "plaasjapie" meaning a farm-boy, and implies someone who is ignorant and uneducated, aimed mainly at the Afrikaner (of Dutch origin)So what if we are English speaking, educated and never been near a farm before? The reason so many South African's are in NZL is because you fools are dumb and we take all your jobs so you are forced to smoke P and jump in the dole queue. Lazy people. I know this because I am a South African taking your money! You cant argue with that statement because you are a great ambasador for your country in proving the brain talent is not high...
Redsman
I looked at the game again to see where your attacks on Kaplan came in. You are missing the role of the two line judges completely. They are also on the look out for off side play and will warn the referee that they think the players were off side. The alleged off-side of the backline referred I believe to the intercept try - they definitely came up flat in defence - nobody was off-side in that case - and the pass was looking for intercept.
The one incident you mention about the scrum was when the Reds were held up and the ball never got out of the maul - because it never reached the ground. That according to the laws mean a scrum is awarded to the opposition - it happened twice to the Sharks as well and the Reds got scrums awarded to them.
The penalty call back was because it was taken at leat four meters from where the penalty was awarded. No referee would allow that. In any event even if Kaplan allowed it - it lead to nowhere fast. That so-called try in about the 60th minute was not awarded because neither Kaplan nor the line judges nor the TV ref could see whether the try was scored. Kaplan asked for input and that lead to the decision of a five yard scrum in favour of the Reds.
There was one incident where the ball was kicked into the Reds 22 and there was a blatant forward pass from the one Reds player to another - the commentators call it forward - but Kaplan was too far back and so was the line judges - so play was allowed to contnue. On HD television it looked forward as well. Missed that one - Redsman?
It is no use to blame referees for the loss of a game - when in fact the score was completely one-sided like 20-3 at one stage of the game. What was evident was that there was less attack of the Sharks in the seond half than in the first. That could be as a result of impact of jet lag or the fact that the Sharks felt they were far enough ahead and that continued prressure on attack was not required at high intensity level. However, they defended theeir line very well under extreme Reds pressure and the fact that the Reds scored a try on the 80th minute can be attributed to that scenario as well.
The Reds were very lucky in respect of one attack when Du Plessis paased the ball to Bosman and with an open line in front Bosman fouled up badly and dived short of the line. If it was Jordaan (he was replaced by then) it would have been another try for the Sharks.
If the Reds felt that Kaplan caused a loss to the Reds - they could have reported Kaplan and he would be dealt with by the panel - but I would lay a bet that such a report was never made. So stop your maoning and get real - the Reds lost the game because on both attack and defence they were ebaten by a better team - end of story.
