  • Cape Town - Sharks coach Robert du Preez has hinted that there could be a change at flyhalf for Saturday's clash against the Waratahs.

The Sharks are struggling after two horrendous losses to the Jaguares and Reds - both at home - and they are now faced with a three-week Australasian tour.

Du Preez has backed his son, Robert du Preez Jnr, at flyhalf throughout the season so far by picking him at No 10 for all nine of their matches so far.

But, when asked on Tuesday if he would consider making a change at flyhalf for Saturday and leaving Du Preez Jnr out, Du Preez suggested that it was a possibility.

    "Definitely," he said.

"There are quite a few players who have had a lot of games ... there are a couple of guys that have played 80 minutes every week.

"We will definitely look at managing those guys at practices but also with game time, specifically."

If Du Preez Jnr is left out, then Curwin Bosch will be the overwhelming favourite to start at flyhalf.

Despite the Sharks being well and truly on the back foot, Du Preez remains optimistic that they can turn the corner.

"It's always tough when you lose at home and we haven't performed well. It's a disappointment for all of us," he said.

"The boys are in good spirits and there is good energy. It's always good to go on tour.

"We're in each other's company every day and I know that will be good for us. We're looking forward to a really solid outing on Saturday.

"It's a must win game for us to get out campaign back on track. The SA conference is still wide open."

Kick-off is at 11:45 (SA time).

    ---

Robert Dupreez has been hopeless for most of the season. Not sure why Sale Sharks raved about his performance. They are welcome to have Robert junior and the surrogate brain cell twins

There is no other choice, it's just a pity its taken so long for the penny to drop. RDP senior is turning out to be another pretender.

Still think Bosch is best suited to 15, he is a player who functions in space....and Jantjies is simply not physical enough for 12. This may work for a week or two and the needs are dire....but it's going to bomb.

    LMAO!
Typical Dense! He posts the Lions team and comments that Curwin Bosch is not in the side and then . . . after I point out his hilarious blunder, he edits his post, pretends it didn't happen and makes out that I'm the stupid one.

Geez You'd swear I shot the Pope or stabbed someone in the back. Even having a laugh at my own silliness doesn't seem to stem the diatribe. It's alright Koosie, I know you don't like me, thing is I don't like you either.....there, a perfect balance.

He's like a 5 year old sticking his tongue out at everyone.

He's in need of a good hiding.

Well Dense, if you were having a laugh at your own expense then good for you . . . but I assumed your "dearie dearie me" was yet another defensive squeak and the fact that you didn't say something like "my mistake" and instead quickly edited your blunder instead of just leaving it up so that people could see the context for themselves supports my assumption . . . but if this misunderstanding is simply because you were laughing at yourself instead of me (but didn't make it very clear) then it's all good.

Dear Koosie, I promise to meet with all your requirements in all of our future correspondence, if necessary I'll even draw you some pictures, failing to satisfy your highly sensitive needs seems to send you into a froth....we don't want that do we, it's better if you just soil your frilly pink panties.

Now that we're all good may I wish you a fat day.

No chump, I'm not in any kind of froth, I'm laughing. "Oh look everyone, Curwin Bosch isn't named in the Lions team this weekend!"

No frothing . . . just laughing my ass off!
