Sharks gsame - who was good and who was poor

The Sharks won - despite some non-performers and idiotic players that nearly had them losing:-

Marais

A good game - but not worth more than 6/10

Sithole 

Made on good line break - but virtually never saw the ball -   6/10

Pietersen

Had some good runs - but was inadequate in defense.  This guy is not a center - he is a wing.   6/10

Jordaan 

The guy rarely saw the ball - but did some very good things on the field anyway.  He battled to make the tackles m,,issed by Steyn and Pietersen and made one very good try-sabing tackle   -   7/10

Mvovo 

Poor game showed nothing and was injured   5/10

Steyn

Horrible display in both his kicking game and his defense  - this man is no flyhalf  and if he plays at center - he buggers that up as well   2/10

Reinach

Did his job - but did not shine  -   6/10

Kankowski

Had a very good game   -  8/10

Alberts 

Not very noticeable - but when he was he buggered up - 4/10

Coetzee 

Outstanding performance -  8/10

Oosthuizen

Solid periormance    -  6/10

Bresler

Solid performance   -  6/10

Jannie du Plessis 

Very good scrumming - pity he gave away two penalties  - 7/10

Bismarck du Plessis

Outstanding performance   -  8/10

Du Toit

Outstanding - this prop has it all and he is only 19.   8/10

The let downs were as expected - Francois Steyn and Willem Alberts.   Bad news those 2.  

 ...not so clever mike , a bit harsh on Steyn as the Sharks were losing up until the last 6 minutes when crowd pleaser Steve Walsh fearing for his life penalised the Kiwis out of the game...Steyn stepped up and won the game for SA...he's a hero

Sharks director of rugby Jake White will feel relieved that they got over the line at the end. While the pack was dominant and Steyn showed his class for the most part in that No 10 channel, the good work was often undone when some abject decision-making and execution gifted the Highlanders with counter-attacking opportunities.

Again, it needs to be said just how dominant the Sharks were at the set piece. Jannie du Plessis had the better of his opposite number at the scrums. Ryan Kankowski was in sublime form at the lineout, while Willem Alberts and Marcell Coetzee had big games with ball in hand. Bismarck du Plessis was a factor across all three disciplines.
