I realise that I'm on very dodgy ground making this statement. But I'm sure the Sharks have learnt many lessons from the past and Plumtree has drummed it into his team that there are no free rides in this competition.
On paper this should be wipe out but I have lived a long time and seen stranger things happen...could this be another nemesis in rugby.
The Sharks have fallen victims to weaker sides in the past...because mainly they oozed overconfidence and showed little respect for opposition...I think the great AB's have had the same problem with France.
The Kings have a point to prove as they have been ridiculed by critics ever since they entered the super competition...they are smarting and charged and are playing in a very partisan arena. The Eastern Capies are a very proud region producing very high standards of rugby in schools like Dale,Selbourne,St Andrews,Queens,Grey PE and many others but lose the talented to bigger franchises/unions.
I am a Sharks fan and have always been and I believe they are the top SA side in the Super Series.
But I remember a few games when they were hot favourites against the Cheetahs and the Lions and have come unstuck. On the otherhand they tend to play their best when the chips are down and they are second favourites.
This one I want to be completely wrong. In the super series you have got to be at your very best in every single game...there is no rest and forgone conclusions.
