The following is the team for Saturday's match against Saracens:-

1. Tendai Mtawarira,   2. Bismarck du Plessis (C),  3. Jannie du Plessis, 4. Etienne Oosthuizen, 5. Pieter–Steph du Toit, 6. Tera Mtembu,  7. Jean Deysel, 8. Willem Alberts, 9. Cobus Reinach, 10. Tim Swiel, 11. Lwazi Mvovo, 12. Andre Esterhuizen,
13. Paul Jordaan, 14. Odwa Ndungane,  15. Tyler Fisher

Replacements

16. Kyle Cooper, 17. Dale Chadwick, 18. Lourens Adriaanse. 19. Stephan Lewies,
20. Jacques Botes, 21. Charl McLeod, 22. Heimar Williams, 23. Jaco van Tonder

One can understand some selections in the absence of Lambie and Coetzee, but others are rather difficult to understand.   Francois Steyn is again injured - but there is no news about the nature of the injury yet.   Unfit and overweight players are more exposed to inju ry than others.

Some of the players are very young and inexperienced and this is an excellent opportunity to test them in the big league.   Players like Swiel, Fisher and Esterhuizen has never played provincial rugby = they were all Under 21's - some could even have played Under 19 last year.

Is the above  with the exception of Coetsee and Lambie what White has in mind as his core starters in Super 15?   One would not know - it could just be that he wants to give them a run in pre-season.

Inkiry? Do you mean inquiry? Or that you mean overweight and unfit players are more inclined to open an inkiry - a place for making ink.

"...and this is an excellent opportunity to test them in the big league."

I thought the Northern Hemisphere was utter garbage?

"... it could just be that he wants to give them a run in pre-season."

That's very much in line with his thinking.

Thanks for pointing out the typing error - I have corrected it.  The word should be "injury".

Even though it is club level rugby - it must evidently be in bigger league than the Under 21 teams the three players have played in thus far.   After all Saracens is the top of the log team in England.

Why don't you join the Fantasy Competition - it would be fun to pick players you like and see how they really perform on the field of play in competition with others.    I am sure you will like it.

I don't frequent the net often enough to follow through with these prediction sites. But that is to your good fortune that I don't!

That really is a feeble excuse.   It will take you about an hour to lodge your preferred teams on the sites and about half an hour each week to update the teams and correct player selection.

Not always easy since you have to "buy" players and have limited budget allocations for the purpose.  There also are limitations on weekly changes you may want or have to make.

It has all the elements of becoming a hobby - a very serious and enjoyable one.

That right there is the problem. I don't want to become embroiled in little games online, it just isn't my thing.
