I hope all ruckers are up and are well and of sane mind this morning, Please pay close attention to the game this morning and hopefully we can avoid some of the very dismal and ignorant comments we had last week re Newlands game. Hahahahahaha

Unfortunately the top side slipped up but there is always next year.

mongbean its a pity we had vermueln and burger out and the sharks squeaked a win.

Little doubt a full strength stormers side would have won comp.

Don't think you'll beat the Kiwis. The Sharks haven't scored a try against them for about 3 years have thay?

old nz cheating tactic re-emmerges. We get penalty Jannie gets hit and retaliates mildly and penalty reversed!!!

The chances of the sharks winning have always been small given the absurd travel burden.

Go Sharks

Please note lightweight sharks pack not the  answer. Beeno's power pack is. Have the nz mongs going backwards and the rest will be easy. Hope Meyer is getting the message.

I noted Lambie's decline in form and the break certainly has not helped. He is a flyhalf in any case.

alberts at lock is not paying off and retallick is making them pay, especially with their lineouts.

conditions helping the sharks, stopping the chiefs who look the deadiler of the two on attack, but still some nice touches drom jordaan and co.

sharks arent playing to win, theyre playing to disrupt the chiefs with cynical tap downs and borderline off side rush defence and this is gonna hurt them as the chiefs kick in behind has been hurting them.

lambies having a shocker, worst game ive ever seen him play.

jannies reverse penalty was soft and unwarranted, but after the warning SANZAR gave, im not surprised as that was a staement to nip any rubbish at the bud straight away. still sof thtough, but jannie shouldnt be so precious, if he does itn again, then it serves them right. same with the chiefs holding defenders at breakdown penalties, if they do it againt, they should be penalised and rightly so too.

Plumtree got his pack all wrong . Coezee at 6 Alberts at 7. Needed that extra muscle.

Wash errors not helping but sharks are outgunned at forward. Lightweights being shown up. Meyer hope you are watching.

Sharks probably on empty.

Go sharkies!

@ben10,

u can thank SARU for the sharks travelling woes bro, they were the ones who wanted leader of every conference to be automatic top 3. if it wasnt for them, sharks would have only travelled once.

thank u SARU, may ur many beautiful calls like that, PDVs coaching job continue for a long time.

hard luck sharks, u were behind the 8 ball all the way, but,,,

The chiefs are a bunch of twits and beat a sharsk side running on empty. Sharks had about 20 minutes of good play but went downhill thereafter.

As I said saSUE logics would dictate that oz would ahve backed this system

A win in these circumstances doesnt mean that much. Always remember to that you never met the Stormers at full strength!

Plumtree blundered in his pack selection though but given the weariness of the team even this and Wash's mistakes  would not have prevented a chiefs win.

Dispite all this one singular fact stands out. Dont play a lightweight pack of forwards. We must select Beeno's power pack.. No moresilly talk about keegan for exmample. Or Kan kan befreo a fit Vermuelen. Schalk is he comes back is a must although Coetzee is a fine player.

Please also note how beast did very little and could not drive the ball up. Ditto Jannie. We need Coenie and WP Nel. Two forwards who love gettng over the advantage line and are a force outside the scrum. They deserve a shot.

How Plumtre or anybody else thinks we should go into a match outweighed by aNZ pack is ludicrous and totally unnecessary.  We have he big althletic men so we must pick them.

Congrats to the chiefs for what its worth. Easier to congratualte them on a good season for finishing SECOND on the log rather than this farce of  final.

The Sharks were well beaten by the better team. Congratulations, Chiefs!!! Still proud of my boys for making the final in the manner that they did. Silver Medallists, and without doubt the best SA side in the S15!!!!!

yep, sharks easily the best saffa team in the comp. they were behind the 8ball all the way with travel thanks to SARU, but travle is nothing when u look at crusaders no home games in 2011.

anyways bring on the IRC, cos All Blacks are looking the goods with their wealth of selections.

oh and awesome haka chiefs, way to do NZ and waikato proud!!!

Ouch!!!!.............................that hurts!!!!!

Sharks didn't have a plan B which is scary considering the Chiefs quickly switched to theirs.........lets hope this doesn't transform to the next level up.

Sadly, our loosies were monstered didnt hear Cotzees named mentioned until the 49th minute such was the dominance that the Chiefs pack had.  Never seen our boys get hit so hard...............

Good to see the humbleness and graciousness that our boys showed in defeat........

Bring on the Rugby Championship

steeeeeew and mongbean please oaks I  have congratulated the chiefies for coming SECOND to the MIGHTY STORMERS ON THE LOG.

I cannot in all integrity congratulate them of this farcal final win. I have too much class for that.

I warned the sharkies to hope for the best and prepare for the worst. The sharks supporters were full of hot air re their close and fortunate win over the  Stormers. Then we had sharkbok etc convinced they would win fnal. We had every sharks player should be a Bok etc etc etc

So its back to reality to steeeeew and the sharkies. Good season sharkies but travel burden left you with virtually zero chance. You only succeeded in making the Chiefies look good apart from the first 20 minutes.

THE SHARKS LOOSIES WERE NOT BIG ENOUGH OR STRONG ENOUGH. Sharks loose trio should have been Coetzee Kan Kan and Alberts with Sykes at lock. You could even have gone further  - Coetzee, Alberts and Deysel. Sharks pack had to get on top physically - they didnt and their lightweight backrow didnt feature.

while I know this and thus can appreciate what the abscence of Burger and Vermulen ment to us you sharkies had the fit payers there but Plumtree got it wrong.

Beeno,

Your posts are so ridicuously pathetic that they are actually laughable....

Nonetheless, there is a fable that I was once told and I think that it sincerely applies to you...it goes like this:

"A wise man once said that it is best to say nothing and be known that you are wrong, rather than opening your mouth (in this case posting to the world) and confirming to everyone that you are sincere fool"

Be humble, stop being nasty, definately engage the brain before you type as I have seen enough from you to see that you do have a certain level of intelligence with some of your posts.

Nonetheles, I do think you enjoy being abused and that you are an angry little man and that you actually do need to accept that the Mighty Stormers are not as Mighty as you or we would all like them to be.......

sorry bro, but SARU was very pro behind the format saying that travel during the regular season was something that had to be addressed and ARU was only to happy as well, knowing the bennifits to their team. NZRU was the only one who didnt like it and wanted a everyone play everyone once format.
also SARU was directly responsible for wanting the leader of every conference to be given automatic top 3 billing on the combined conference, tony johnson mentioned it in his articel and bobby skinstadt also made reference to it, saying in hindsight SARU might not have agreed to it.

and do u really think the stormers could beat the chiefs??? chiefs beat sharks in durban and twice in total for 2012. stormers couldnt beat the sharks in durban, in fact, the stormers only beat the sharks once this year, despite having three cracks at them, stormers were easily the weakest team in the semi and without a doubt the most boring team ever who couldnt play attacking rugby to save their lives.
BTW last year the chiefs who were the NZ conference wooden spooners with a very weak team devoid of star players like this years team, still managed to beat the stormers.

only in ur world do the stormers topping the conference mean anything, but then in ur world that is really all u have, :P

go the sharks, best SA team by miles, and

GO THE CHIEFS, 2012 SPXV CHAMPIONS!!!
