I just turned on and see sharks center got a red card. Seems another totally ludicrous decision who the heck is the ref?  Both players fell and the OZ guy landed unfortunately but this is never a yellow. Ou rooitwit will be agreeing with the ref of course as he is a real jelly baby lacking a spine. The game has been ruined but I do recall the Sharks whipping the hapless crusties in nz with 13 men so who can tell!!

Beeno with his usual one-eyed assessment I suggest you stick to tennis.
Should we tell him that's a guitar & not a tennis racket?
The sharks player drove the Rebs player's shoulder and head into the ground. It was silly because he didn't need to do that to tackle him. Lack of control .

Esterhozen uses a WWF move bouncing the Rebel off his head.....I'm warming up to him ....but sadly the Ref has a more conventional view

The ref had no option. Only a rugby noob would dispute the red card . . . but having said that , I do think the Rebels player should also have had a yellow for ramming the ball in Esterhuizen's face.
Come on Sharks! Show some guts! Not sure I can handle Sharks losing to the Rebels and Spurs losing an FA Cup semifinal to the cheating Chelsea chavs on the same evening.

He didn't ram it in his face....vast overstatement. That was never a yellow for the Rebel.

Shut the hell up Moffie. If I ever want the opinion of a dull-witted and biased old fool who never held a rugby ball in his life then I'll ask you . . . until then keep that forked tongue of yours behind those rotting teeth.
Clear enough for you?
Good . . . now shove off and go molest some boy scout or whatever the hell it is you do in your spare time.

What was it Urinal said about the Stormers....mincing gurly-boys.....but in the final an.alysis the Sharks were mincing gurly-boys. . Waaaaaaaahahaha....LMAOFY!

"Ward is so out of his depth."
Agreed. He didn't look so bad when he was with the Kings but today he was just dreadful.
The Sharks were crap but considering the fact they played so much of that game with 14 men against 15, I'll take a draw!

Am and Ryno Smith were ok, while Bosch was a bit wobbly. Don't the bulls have a spare lock we could have to replace Ettiene Oosthuizen.

Also rubbish.....Esterhozen was off for 60 minutes. .....the total of the two yellows and red to the Rebels was 31 minutes. . The Red card had an impact, but three seperate yellows were also disrupting.. ..and they had the last 11 minutes 14 vs 14 to win the game. But the mincing Sharks just drew at home with the 17th team of 18, fresh off a long flight. . Couldn't happen to a more spiteful fellow..

NOBODY WINS IN KINGS PARK CARD GAMES; Rugby 365

SUPER RUGBY REPORT: THE SHARKS AND REBELS PLAYED TO A 9-ALL DRAW IN WHAT MUST RANK AS THE MOST DOUR MATCH OF THE SEASON.

In fact it is fitting that nobody won in this tryless snorefest.

The game  produced five cards - three yellow cards to the Rebels and two red cards, one to each team.

To suggest the Sharks' discipline was shocking as a gross understatement. They are fortunate they did not concede more than just one red card.

And the Rebels were not far behind. Their penalties had slightly less if a nasty undertone and more of a cynical nature to them.

More to follow...

Man of the match: This was a game of such poor standards that we refuse to award anybody!

Scorers:

For the Sharks:
Pens:
 Bosch 3

For the Rebels:
Pens:
 Hodge 2

Comment: that about sums it up. Not a good advertisement for rugby.

Thats very conciliatory of you Moz .A bad ref is a blight on the game no matter his origins ,surely more money and effort needs to be spent by rugby in general to build up a bank of decent refs .

Well WD this ref gave 6 penalties against the Sharks....2 were for foul play, Botha and Esterhozen.....another was for du Toit in the scrum. That left 3 penalties awarded against the Sharks in general play. Penalties mount when you are defending as the Sharks were much of the time, but .only the Canes who had a comfortable win against the Brumbies were penalized less in this round. . And some of the calls seemed very marginal, it was as if he was trying to balance the red card. Xavi who knows his stuff feels a bit differently, but that's my take.
