 You also missed Camos stupid rant about how great Cruden is. Even though we all know Barratt potentially is far better player, Cruden was just luckey he had no one challenging for his Ten spot he now does, so it well be good for Cruden. Clevermike I know your pre-disposition and stance on SA loosing the past three years is blame Morne Steyn, and you selectively choose to do so. And i am not saying Steyn did not contribute to being a passenger, or contribute to diminishing the type of game SA needed to play to challenge NZ, of course he did. But that is only one factor. Lambie and Goosen also started a few test. From 2011 to 2014 SA has only beaten NZ twice, and lost Six times. Now go back to the last time SA beat NZ in 2011. Coincidentally M Steyn started, and SA wan so clearly he wasen't a passenger then. He scored all 18 pts, he made 10 tackles. He was the star of that game scoring all points, leading to their win over NZ. Now the game has changed from 2011 to 2014, and Steyns form has dramtically declined over the past Three years. 
But he wasen't always useless and a liability for SA, and he cannot be the determining factor in a Team Sport as to why SA kept loosing to NZ, their are just way to many variables to consider here. Go back to 6 October 2012 when NZ beat SA at Ellis Park, 32-16. Goosen was starting that day. Was he a passenger, was he the reason you diddn't win? I mean he is a more of a attacking player then Steyn, takes the ball more to the advantage line. Or are we suggesting Pollard is just that damn good . Goosen that day scored one try, and rest were pretty low stats. But of course not NZ got parity at the breakdown, and one player no matter how brillaint or bad they were was going to make a difference. Some times teams get momentum and their is nothing a team can do to deter it. Auckland 2013 Steyn was playing, October 2013 Steyn was playing. Just in Wellington a month and a half ago, Pollard started. No matter how close the scoreline was, SA still lost. 
And like I Said some times teams just get momentum and you can't deter it, and that is exactly what happened last weekend, no one player either being a liablity on defense or attack or an asset was going to stop anything. I concede M Steyn has been a passenger for you guys the past Three years, and has contributed heavily to the way SA plays, not expansively, he also is weak on defense. But then again if you are good enough to be selected at that level, you should be good enough to justify that tag. It's not up to NZ or any other team to worry about the opposistion, but focus on your own individual processes and worry about the outcome later. NZ did not get their individual processes right like they usually do, SA did simple as that. 

 .... 3ku1, yr the one that said that you wanted the 50 pt win (directed by Cruden) over Australia to be the standard...but would be happy too replace him even though he has a better record than Barret?...sounds like yr a bit conflicted mate

 Pollard told me that his hero is Cruden and he has moulded his game around Crudens game. Immitation is the best Form of flattery
