So Sias is going to the Western Force. Complaining about Game time at the Cheetas- and blaiming his form on this. How much time do you need on the field to kick the match winning conversion- from right in front of the posts. Who else is doing this. Last year he was being talked about as a Springbok- enter Goosen the Mesiah and he is on the bench. Maybe he should have had more bench appearences?

bloody hell, give the bro a break. everyones quick to ride him for that missed conversion, but what about the cheetahs defense in that 20mins??? cheetahs defens in the last 20mins was complete garbage, to lose a 30-9 advantage is why the cheetahs are a langushing in 10th place.

sias kick was detrimental, but the cheetahs as a whole is what lost them that game.

Rugby is a career opportunity for professionals.  Sias has no chance of playing for the Cheetahs at flyhalf - so in the interest of his career he has to move on.   He will also not make it in other franchises in SA - the Bulls are stuck on Steyn and the Sharks have Lambie and the Stormers Grant) so what is wrong with him moving to Australia?  Good luck to him and may he succeed as a flyhalf in the Western Force franchise.

Good move Sias you are toast there given Goosen and Riaan playing for Cheetahs.

Pity you didn't come to WP a you are a good flyhalf. All the best Sias and I hope you will not miss your twin brother Robert too much. I guess he may well join you therein time.

No given the rugby opportunities and the disgraceful state of governance in this country it was a wise move.

Rugby is a busines people, just like everyone chatting here would take a better pay package were it offered to them by another employer, so do rugby players. Loyalty is a thing of the past. He will not get game time playing behind Goosen, so why not look at other options? In a business environment, nobody would frown at a person for looking for a better opportunity, so what gives you judging the guy the right to do so. In the big scheme of things a rugby players carreer is short, maybe 10 to 15 years, and in that time they need to have made their fortune. Nope, I say good luck to him, even though it is a loss to SA rugby.

By the way, just about every player in the Springbok team has shifted from one province to the next at some point in their carreer, so what, should they all be thought of as disloyal dogs? As pointed out by clevermike, his opportunties are limited in SA...so why not go where he can get game time?

why didnt sias sign on with the southern kings??? he could have put in his contract a get out clause which allows him to sign up somewhere else if the kings dont play in the spXV next year.
i think if the kings do get in next year, they will want to strengthen  their player roster.
